Please post your suggestions here!! Cheval1.g: Banane09.: Violence4:
This was posted in another thread....
Is there anyway you could add a symbol next to the thread showing if you have posted in it or not?
And I agree...

Also I don't like where I posted in a thread today that hadnt been posted in since yesterday but since i was the last one to post in the thread yesterday it just added my post today to the one from yesterday and didn't bring the thread to the top of the page...
Get all of that?!?!

That's odd. I made my first post but it didn't make me a moderator like it did with everyone else. How many posts do I have to make before I'm a moderator?

I understand that, but I figured if I joined up and posted, it would make me a moderator like everyone else is here. How did you get to be one?

We were basically the first to join so we got the upperhand on that. I will let TorQQue talk more about that since he is the one in charge.

Man. Three days too slow and I missed out. There doesn't appear to be an opening, but I'll offer my services anyway. Maybe, if I make 30 more posts, that will help.

Fletch.. There is no magic number to becoming a mod! I hand pic my mods. All are my friends or people that have dedicated their time and interest to helping the site become a success!! .. I havent had the first person ask to become a mod! I would like to have 10 or so mods to every 100 members.. Thats 1 mod out of every 10 members.. Thats a pretty good ratio if you ask me!!

Maybe one day Fletch if you hang in there, you'll get to be a mod.
You might get to join the secret club ;)

torQQue has already said that we only need 10 mods for every 100 people, so maybe when we get to 200 users we'll get some more mods.

Hey, i really enjoy this site, but I kind of have some problems with the site being "too cluttery." Dont get me wrong the site is great and I like it, but I think the things on the side scrolling down, telling who has posted what, and what forum had the lastest site, IF you took that off wouldnt it have more space, and stay up longer? BCF4L and I was talking about this tonight, and i just think it is kind of cluttery. If ya have any questions QQ, PM me and ill explain better. Bcf4l and my self are pretty good friends, so he knows what im talking about. Does anyone agreee with my statement? I am talking about when you click on forums, it takes yout o some reading, I think it should go stright to the forums, instead of doing that unless, there is a reason behind it? IM also talking about the "recent BGR topics" I think that should also be gone, because everyone comes to this site to read about what sports are going on and who is playing at that date, so therefore they click on forums and go to which ever topic they want and start posting. Instead of waiting on it to scroll to their topic they want. Maybe I am all wrong about this and Torqque I LOVE the site and I also understand you worked hard for us to have this site. Thanks alot

I appreciate the suggestion! But I think you may just be a little use to the way BGP is setup..I can understand this. When you get so use to something its hard to change.. But I bet if you stick with us, these forums and the extra features will begin to grow on you! To be honest I just dont like plain. My goal is not to be just like them.. I want this site to have its own identity..
Im adding several more features such as chat box and a trophy room. I want too offer my members good content(sporting news) and at the same I want to offer them little other incentives..I feel top posters thing is nice.. The recent topics is nice..The shoutbox is gonna be way cool..The trophy room is gonna be nice..Here you get bigger avatars, you get sigs, you get a pic gallery and even a little eye candy.. You get more freedom.. Over on BGP they have much more news to offer right now..But thats all.. BGR has been up a week and i havent even publically advertised and we have over 3300 posts and 142 members.. As the site grows we will be able to offer just as much news as they offer.
Im not trying to sound rude or anything. I appreciate the compliments and your opinion.. But i have gotten over 50 pms with people telling me they love the site.. I have put to much thought and time into changing it now. I hope this dont effect your decision in staying with us..But you are more than welcome and we all welcome you.. Give it some time and make yourself familer with the different interface and you may just like it!!
Thanks QQ

Ya just have to get use to it. I hope that didn't sound rude. But like torrque said he wants this site to be as original as can be. When I first came here it was confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it, it's all been gravy, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

QQ, a suggestion if I may...Do away with the signatures in the post area. It really congests the continuity of the threads.
If you still want to allow sigs...put them under the avatar.
Again...Nice site...just a suggestion.

TorQQUE I understand totally, I know you have worked really hard and you dont want to change it and WE ALL KNOW we dont wanna be like BGP. I LOVE THE SITE too, I also stated after that I HOPE it puts BGP under, lol. So no I didnt think it was rude for you telling me that, it is a suggestions box and thats all i was doing. I cant stand BGP, i just found out they automatically take 10 dollars out of your account whenever, IF you ask me thats stealing, b/c **** they can take it out every weekif you made them mad enough, you understand where im coming from. And i wasnt trying to be a prick when i wrote what i wrote either, QQ. Ask BCF4L about me, or 15thregioncrazy im a pretty nice guy. So if this makes you feel better, IM ON BOARD with BGR, and I feel so welcome at this site. Bgp you had to watch what you say and stuff. See you told us we can curse to an extent, and have you noticed hardly anyone curses or says anything out of the way, I think thats cool. So QQ if ya ever need anything gimme a holla. I will get use to it. Thanks Jason

I agree with that...Short sigs are good but IMO the long ones take up way to much room and are useless.

Why should I make you a mod? You have posted 9 times and are rarely ever on here. The people I have made mods have made a contribution to the site! They actually visit and create topics. I will reward people that really want to help. If you really helped out you would be rewarded.

I don't help? I'm posting. I could post congrats after every score listed but what does that add?
I just wondered what the mod selection process was. Everyone else seemed to make some posts and were given that title. I guess I'll work harder.
Why are there more rules now than when I joined last week. I like the reduction in rules compared to the other site but the number of rules has doubled in a week. Will we see more rules added this week?
Just trying to help.

Fletch, The rules are necessary to keep everything under control. There are more than last week, the site was just getting started and now we have tripled in size since then. The site keeps growing more and more everyday.
Yeah...and it's nothing against you not being a mod....we all know QQ personally so he invited us to join him and help him get this up and going.....but the rules are just to keep things under control.

The rules are there to protect the site. That's why a few new rules have been added for the sites protection and the protection of the users.
As for being a mod, it was luck of the draw. QQ needed help when getting started, so yes, a lot of the topics were first started by us. Now we have over 160 members and things are evening out. Once we get more and more members posting it will not look as if only mods are doing the posting.
Before the site even started up QQ asked us to be mods, it wasn't that we were the first to sign up on here or anything, he personally asked us all to be mods. Right now there is simply no need for anymore moderators on the site. If it keeps growing like this more moderator positions will eventually open up. Hang in there champ.

I thought I liked it at first too, 4L, but it's a hassle when trying to post game updates, because updates from 5 minutes later end up on the same thread. That's the only complaint people have told me about the site.

Why dont you just turn off loading pics with IE.. THen you will be fine. I could add buttons to allow people to choose if they want to view avatars and sigs.
However their is no buttons at this time. I will have to code them in.. But Im sure i can take care of it for those people still on dial up.

Just to let you know CNN. Im working on a another forum. With just a plain ole clean look. It will share the same data in the database tables. Actually it is this forum just alternate skin ( away of viewing things) I understand my younger crowd like the grahpics and the cool stuff. The older crowd cares more about info. So thats what Im working toward. Give me two more days and people can choose a the graphical or just classic look.
Hope that will help.
