Michelle Kwan dropped out of the Torino Games on Sunday morning because of a groin injury, bringing her quest for that elusive Olympic gold to its most disappointing end yet.

Good (not because she is hurt) but she didn't earn her spot to begin with.

Hopefully, her replacement (whose name escapes me at the time) will have a good showing.

Yea I dont see how that she even made the team, it would surprise me if they allow a person to take her place

Emily Hughes was chosen by the U.S. Olympic Committee as Kwan's replacement.
Olympic officials approved 17-year-old Hughes as Kwan's replacement a few hours later. Hughes was the third-place finisher at last month's national championships and younger sister of 2002 Olympic champion Sarah Hughes.
