I think losing a few good people such as JAmes Maynard, Jon Allen, Jon Wells, and Josh Schmidt will hurt us a bit but in the end i think we will end up doing fine

They lost pretty much their whole line. I'm seeing a rebuilding year. Their line may seem as big as always (cause they still have Sam Schmidt) but without Allen and J. Schmidt's teamwork the line will be weak.

Hager needs to find a different quarterback entirely cause Damen Hensley just isn't cutting it. They need to get short accurate passes to Daniel Harless for some yardage.

I dont know about that statement i mean Damen is young he was only a sopmore last year and besides he threw the ball well last year his only problem he has trouble escaping the pocket but i dont think a new quaterback is needed and besides if they wanted a new quaterback they dont have anyone on the team who can play the position so u might as well get used to seeing number 9 at the helm.

I hope Sheldon clark has a loosing record this year and they dont make it to the playoffs because they dont deserve it.

J-Man, there's no room on this site for that attitude. If you don't like someone, keep it to yourself.

I have to disagree with your comment. They had a very good team last year and deserved everything that they earned.

He actually is pretty good. He has more experience now and that helps a lot. Give it time passes will come when the time is needed, but for now im pretty sure dials is the call for them.

Last year people thought that schs was going to be a push over because of the season they had 2 years ago. Schs came out and showed a lot of people what they can do with what so little they have in Inez. Im not saying give the ring to them because if you want it you will have to work and I know that is what they are going to do.

Looking for it to be a run for 1st or 2nd in district again. Belfry is going to be tuff as usual, P-burg is going to lose some great players such as the back field, I don't really know about the rest of the district but im pretty sure that district championship will be played at the rock when belfry comes to INEZ.

With the loss of most of the line..what do you think will be SC's strength in the upcoming season? Will you all be able to replace what you are losing? Will Hager have to change his scheme's a little to compensate for a young line?

I know that last year, the backs just tucked in behind the big boys up front and would pick up 3 to 4 yards a pop.

I realize they have no other option, but I'm saying, they need to work with what Damen can do if they're gonna keep him as QB. Short passes, or run the ball. It's simple.

Should be a interesting season. They lost some realy good lineman. But return some very talented players. No doubt in my mind, Hager will come up with the right strategy to get the Cards to a championship.

SC will be right in the mix of things. They return alot of good skill players in Hensley (QB), Harless (SE), Slone (TE), & Kelly (FB). That group only gets better with Dials (RB) who is coming off a breakout sophmore season and should be considered one of the best backs in the mountains this year. They also return 2 studs up front in Schmidt & Hinkle. I expect the Cardinals will be the biggest threat to Belfry's crown (espically since they host the Pirates at THE ROCK) but nobody should count out P'burg yet either. The Blackcats won't stay down very long.
SC is in good hands with Hagar and will more than likely be hosting a home playoff game this year. This is one of the more competative districts in AA and should make for a great season.
