What do you think about having last names on the back of jersey's?
I think it is pretty cool--and I don't think that it takes away from the team concept. What is your opinion?

It would be more expensive but I would like it

I don't like it. I honestly think the it makes the uniform as a whole look worse.
But I'm more of a fan of the plain helmet and jersey.
Well, sometimes it makes the jersey look worse. I feel that High School teams that do this just make the letters far too big, and I think it looks bad.

I like the concept. I think more teams would do it if they bought new jerseys each season but most schools use jerseys for a couple, if not several years.

I know Lawrence Co did it about 8 or 9 years ago, but I think the students paid for there own and the only ones that did it was the starter and the kids that played alot, and even though everyone didnt have it it still looked pretty **** sweet.

I imagine it would be pretty expensive.
I know our college intramural basketball team did that with individual names and it wasn't cheap for what amounted to ten sleeveless T-shirts. I can only imagine what the costs would be for a whole team of football jerseys.
However, if you can afford it, it's probably a little intimidating to other teams who see it at first.

I think its a great idea i think it would make an athlete feel more professional and it would mean more to them, because people would know there name whether they played or not

Depends on the rest of the uniform and colors and things

I don't think it takes away from the "team" concept. However, with High School athletics budgets, I don't see it as very viable. If you had names on the backs of jerseys, you would basically have to replace them every year. This can get VERY expensive. The other road you could go would be to have players purchase jerseys, but personally, I would not want to eliminate kids from playing simply because they could not afford their jersey.

I believe it depends on how the team has been doing in recent years. For example, Bath county, around 1994-1997 when they were pretty good, they had names on the back of their jerseys and they had plenty of people that came out and they all played together as a team. With that being said, when your team is playing as a team, it's ok to have names on the back. If your team is playing as individuals, the only name that should be on the jersey is the name of the school.

Well if the players had there names on the back of the jersey's they would just worry about there name. How good it looked and just play as one.

I like the idea of having names on the back on the jerseys..
It makes the kids proud to wear it and it gives the players more of a sense of belonging

To expensive and very few schools could afford new jersey's every year with different names so i think its a bad idea.

I think if the school can afford it than it should be up to them.

With kids quitting and not sticking with it, and the price of uniforms
its just not worth it.
I know parents and kids would love to see their names on uniforms but it's just not feasible
