I love Paintsville's "You Wish" slogan! They had everything from kids dressed up like basketball players to cheerleaders! They're definantly a rowdy bunch! Did you see those two boys that dressed like cheerleaders for Paintsville? That takes some balls lol!

Overall, Paintsville's pep section is the best and they'll prove it in the 15th regional tournament!

Prestonsburg's has come to every game this season and they are about an average of 200 students per game and at District there was at the most 250-300 !!!

BL is very loud and has a very nice following, but during the last few weeks it has been Paintsville... since the girls went down to Richmond they have been unrivaled in innovative cheers and their comebacks to other schools cheers... plus they shut JC's pep section down twice, Magoffin, and Prestonsburg... don't believe me... I'll send you the game tapes

Paintsville students and JCHS students are the same. JCHS has more kids because a bigger school, so that makes them louder and more of a factor. But Paintsville is a little more creative. I wouldn't care to have either behind my team during the region.

Hazard's pep section is AWESOME.  Friday night the Hazard-Leslie game was to begin at 7pm.  There were 5 girls that showed up at 4 o'clock standing outside the gym waiting for the doors to open at 5.
They wanted to be sure they got the front row in Hazard's pep section.  All of these kids from Hazard are incredible.  They should win an award for their spirit, energy, creativity, devotion and support of their school. CAPTAIN H and the BLUE CREW, I applaude you!!!  :clap:

Hats off to JCHS cheerleaders and student section last night at the Expo Center.  They showed more respect and sportsmanship toward the other cheerleaders last night than I have seen all year out of ANY other team.  When Pikeville's cheerleaders were on the floor the JCHS cheerleaders made sure that the student section was not chanting in any way...which is more than I can say for the Pikeville student section.  Anytime JCHS' squad was on the floor they were chanting just as loudly as they could. 

KUDOS JCHS cheerleaders and student section!  You guys were awesome last night and you did your school and fans proud by being a classy bunch of kids last night. I'm proud of you all!

Come on now are you serious?  Paintsville fans are like other fans- very passionate and loyal to their team.  I was at the game and actually sat on Central's side and from what I could hear the majority of what that cheering section was saying was a repeat of Paintsville's cheers.  Paintsville by far is the best. :flame:

I thought the "That was awesome" and "We are awesome" chants were really tacky...  That had absolutely nothing to do with the basketball game.  I get the feeling that Paintsville's student section is more worried about themselves than the basketball game.

UMM... i dont think it was EVERYTIME. pikevilles cheerleading sponsor went over and calmed them down. who cares about being classy when it comes to cheering anyways. your there for the game--to pump up your team and bring the other team down..to get into their heads. and honestly, johnson centrals cheers were pretty gay. whats up with the arm motions, the dancing, and passing around some board? ...and what was with the hawaii leis? oh well..it doesnt really matter. the games over so lets move on! both cheering sections were pretty positive the whole night (pikeville has a rep of throwing out pretty rude things..but i thought they kpet it in/if it wouldve been a team like SV or PC..that would be another story!). it was a good game played by both teams! congrats JC on your win--good luck in the tournament.

Pikevilles wasnt really bad or anything but just not as good as JC's. I was really impressed with them. About every school will have some stuff going on as students are students but JC's was top of the line.
Covington Catholic has anyone seen them at state they are so awesome. Oney year whent hey put the video screen on them they were all cheering and jumping and had their mouths opened but was making no noise haha it was great.

Agreed!  But unfortunately that doesn't get shown very much anymore.  I'm just so proud of JC's cheerleaders and their class at that game.  I look forward to seeing more of the same tomorrow night against Betsy Layne...it's gonna be a barn burner!

It's hard to cheer for them when they are playing like crap... Kudos to the fans because even when P-ville was down 15 they still chanted to try and get them back in it... it's hard to keep cheering when your team is handing the other team the game... and it's true the pep section WAS AWESOME while the team wasn't... BTW unlike most fans teams, we stayed and cheered till the final seconds ticked off...

you are exactly right... from the 1st JC game of the season we wore the white shirts, we also came up with the "WE ARE AWESOME" cheer that JCHS started using after we played them... It irritates me that people don't give our Pep Section credit and give it all to JCHS when they stole our cheers... eh, it's just a compliment to us and lets them know they will always be second best...

Well I must say Leslie has about the worest pep section EVER!!! At the Hazard game they made some pretty bad mistakes! l Well first off if you are goin to hang a "bulldog" make sure its a bulldog! Not a beagle! And when you spell EAGLES make sure the "L" is right side up..duh! But its ok guys! And when you throw ur trophy on the floor...it makes u all look even worese!! They were very nice trophys and we didnt have to give u one but we did..i mean u looked like an idiot! srry!!! But luck next time. And ur "Just Lose" shirts just didnt work...

On to pcc!!! Well I believe its very very rude to make fun of black people!!! I also believe that the United States has struggled with this for years because ppl like u all!!! And ur chicken buckets were not cool..they were gay! And u all have a black person on ur basketball team. R u racist to him!?! Hazard is the only school in perry co where it is normal for black people to get along with the white people. We are no different then them..just our skin color. Sorry, but JC only uses the "We are Awesome" chant when they are playing you and that is just to tick you guys off! ....and believe me there is no way that JCHS wants to be you. I would love to see a link with the CATS scores if you don't mind I usually don't keep up with the academic side but I think it would be interesting. Oh and BTW Johson County Middle won the academic state championship today. I just wanted to say congrats to them. This just proves even more that we are the best school system in Johnson County.

JC Middle School Governors Cup State Champs once again! :1: P-ville Middle tied for 50th with zero points with over 100 other schools.
JCHS overall 6th in the state!!!!Â* :clap:P-ville 33rd!!

Johnson County School system was I believe 11th in the state, with the middle School tied for 10th. Two grade schools in top 10, Flat Gap 8th and Central Elementary 1st in state.
So are we copying this off you also, or do you think with these academic acheachievements might have a little creativity ourselves.

I think that the CATS scores were needed to be checked. Congrats to the JCMS academic team, that is a great accomplishment. Not sure on the CATS scores but I am sure that there is a huge difference between an academic meet and the CATS test.

PAINTSVILLE--

They're student section dominated JC's pep section again in the district tournament. That says a lot considering Paintsville has a fraction of the kids that JC has!

I love Paintsville's "You Wish" slogan! They had everything from kids dressed up like basketball players to cheerleaders! They're definantly a rowdy bunch! Did you see those two boys that dressed like cheerleaders for Paintsville? That takes some balls lol!

Overall, Paintsville's pep section is the best and they'll prove it in the 15th regional tournament!

uhh..I say **** no.. JC's section STOLE all of Paintsville's cheers! I say it's about time you all either give up or GET SOME ORIGINALITY! I mean the students and teachers at PHS worked hard to come up with those chants. And all JC does is steal them. I mean get a life. PHS knows you want to be us, but i mean ****.



I posted about this in another thread, but I'm curious about all these cheers JC supposedly stole. The only time I ever heard "We are awesome" was at a Paintsville game to annoy them. Nothing else I've heard has even been similar. And I doubt many people at JC want to be like PHS... I'm pretty sure most people at JC hate PHS and vice versa. lol. Plus, I'm pretty sure JC was happy with the Apple Bowl and the Regional Tournament. I don't want to start anything or sound like I'm taunting, but JC just seems to pop up in every thread and they don't deserve most of the things said about them. And also, Greaser doesn't seem to bother anyone at JC. In fact, that got started about five years ago and I knew some Central people who made themselves Greaser shirts. They thought it was funny. And someone congratulated PHS on cheering even when their team was down. That's great, and I'm not trying to take away from them, but they aren't the only team to do it. I was at the final when JC got behind SV and things looked a little grim for them, and en masse the whole JC section was chanting "We believe Eagles, We believe." I loved that. Anyway, that was a lot more rambling then I meant to do but you can only read so much crap before you feel like putting in your two cents.
