I actually thought the game was officiated well.  Shelby Valley responded well at the end of the game after Paintsville cut the lead to 1 point.  I was very impressed with the small guards from Shelby Valley.

Shelby Valley is a team that usually coasts through the regular season. But when it comes tournament time they really turn it on. Shelby Valley is a very heads up team and is who I expect to advance to the state tournament.

Actually coming into this game, Prestonsburg was the one that was favored to win the Region besides Paintsville. Belfry is a darkhorse....

The Tigers cut into SV's lead in the second half of the game.They could not get over the hump late in the 4th period.I think the Tigers might have come into the game a little over confident and expected it to be a pretty easy win for them.Â* Â*

paintsville did have the big head coming in to the 15. this can help a young team learn next year they will be more focused.

I am not a Shelby Valley fan, so i don't really care either way, but the Valley fans had all but given up on their team. You all jump on and off the band wagon so much i bet you are worn out!! i understand and appreciate the great tradition, and know you expect a lot of your team, and especially your coach. I truly admire the effort that goes into the feeder program all the way through the high school.

  As i recall, Sheldon Clark had beaten Valley last  year in the "All A" tourney. You would have thought the world was coming to an end. As i also recall the team ended up in the state tourney. (it wasn't easy, but when is it ever?) I say let Booher do his job and for heaven's sake take it easy on the guy. He seems like a nice enough fellow. So congratulations to the team for the win over Paintsville and good luck the rest of the way.

I 8th grader is a very good player but i have seen some better than him.  I also have to disagree with you totally on booher doing an excellent jog coaching. If they would have kept ponding the ball down low it wouldnt have even been a close game.  The #32 was dominating the low post and paint area at the beging of the game and so was the other big guy.

I really feel like Booher gets a bad rap, he has those boys playing at the top of their game right now.  He has brought a young team that has competed all year at a very high level, to a place where they are believing that they are going to win every game they play for the rest of the season.  Shelby Valley comes to play every night and if your not sure about that goes ask Paintsville if the Cats were ready to play the other night.  Give credit to where credit is due, Booher you're doing a fantastic job, keep those boys playing hard and we will see you in Rupp!!!

Valley had them down like 20-6 and P-ville couldnt get within 10 the 1st half... then same thing happend second half until they realized they were going to lose and actually started playing like they gave ****...

I think the score indicates how close the game was, Paintsville fought back after getting down big. Also I believe Valley was only up 10 at the half.
