Chase is number one for sure, i am on the football team with him and he has a lot of power on his throws. He is pretty accurat to. so i rank him over Brenton for sure

The Blanton kid from Johnson Central is pretty tough.

What about the Top 5? Everyone knows about Huffman and Blanton, and the whole deal with Brenton Hamilton transferring to P-burg supposedly for Basebal.

But what about other pitchers that are good that nobody ever talks about??? Let's see if we can get a top 5 out of anyone?

Fyffe is good to be a sophomore this year. I look to see him be pretty dominant his Junior and Senior year. I played with him this fall, he's a real good kid, and he has his head on straight. Not to mention he loves the game--and that's what it takes to be great.

I heard that P-Burg could be getting another transfer that would make a big impact on the program.

There is no transfer that could make an impact on that program.
They dont have much of a chance this season.

Hamilton didn't transfer to P-burg for baseball. He transfered because he had a lot of friends and family that goes to P-burg and I'm sure it was the best for his family.

Prestonsburg will be fine this year, they will prove a lot of people wrong.

I dont see Prestonsburg proving too many people wrong this year. Hamilton is a solid pitcher but will he be able to succeed without a strong defense like he had at Pikeville last year? I wish him and Prestonsburg the best but its going to take a major effort on EVERYONES part.

I agree with ya, 13. Brenton had one of the best, if not the best, defensive teams backing him up. Walls, Hamilton, McCown, Parrish, Adams, Spears, Robinson, Smith, and many others helped him tremendously. I'm not saying he isn't a good pitcher-we all know he is very skilled. I just think he might struggle a little just because he doesn't have the same caliber defense at P-burg as he did at Pikeville.

Yeah, I heard that he did throw in fall ball this season. I also heard that he was getting clocked at 75-78...we wont be able to judge Josh LeMaster until mid-to-end part of the season.

Guys I went down to the park with Rodebaugh and I clocked him at 89 mph, so u all can believe what u want but this is the truth.

There's no way in the world he throws even close to 90....I would maybe believe 83 or so, but he is not throwing that hard..I just watched him in the spring and I know he hasn't gained that much speed in such a short time. Anybody outside of Prestonsburg knows he won't be throwing close to 90...You guys keep living in your fantasy world, but when spring comes around I'll be looking foward to hearing the excuses of why he slowed down so much since back in the fall when he was supposedly throwing 90...

I still say you're full of crap, and nobody outside of Prestonsburg is going to believe he is throwing that hard, and when spring comes and he's not throwing that hard I'll be laughing my butt off...I'll be sure come to a game he pitches and bring a radar gun to see this myself..If he hits even 86 I'll change my avatar to something to do with Prestonsburg saying that he is the best pitcher in the region...

Not knocking Josh's accomplishments- but, the Century 21 Homerun Derby isn't even close to playing the game. It's like playing Pee-Wee back when your coach pitches to you. What coach/dad is going to throw pitches to keep you from hitting the ball? You won't see too many fastballs, curveballs etc.. in the homerun derby.

However with that said- - Josh is an excellent baseball player and I do expect him to do well this season with Prestonsburg. He will one of the better pitchers in the 58th district in 2006.

Hamilton and Rodebaugh both got hammered last season by AC in the District Tournament. Hamilton started and barely lasted 3, maybe 4 innings. If they were as good as people make them out to be, no team should be able to put up 18 runs in a 5-inning mercy...I don't care what team they're piching against.

By your quote...probably not. Big Jim, perhaps you should look at the date of when this thread was started. It's almost two years old.

I cant say exactly for sure , but there may be some truth to that post because it was made in November of 2005. Daniel could have pitched varsity before that time, but I honestly cant remember him ever pitching for Charlie Adkins. I am thinking that last year was the first season he has seen time on the mound.
