She's on a team stacked with talent, she's probably the 4th best on the team. I don't think shes to the caliber as everyone else! She may be a sleeper but shes not a top 10 player, she may be next year.

Emily Colvin should definitely be on that list, and I will even argue that she should be on there ahead of the twins. Emily doesn't shoot the ball as much as the twins, but she is the one that leads the team in 3pt %. And Emily is the best defensive player out of the 3. She also does a better job handling the ball and beating pressure.

Dont get me wrong the twins have the shot, but I have to agree with Farva on this one. I would definetly put Colvin above the twins on this one. Em's got the better overall advantage. She's a hard worker 24/7 in basketball... practice and games. She's got a heart for the game. I think that shows a lot in her game too and that's why I would put her ahead of the twins as a better player.

Redneck, I dont know how the game went between Jarrell and Thomas but you do have to remember that Jarrell has a better support staff at Paintsville than Thomas at Allen Central. Either way I still think Thomas is one of the best post from this region in a while. I played against her, and all I can say is.. shes good!! I dont remember too much about Jarrell, but I hear she's improved greatly.

Tab Trammel is a for sure top 10 player in the region although her team aint that good she is aver. a double-double this year. 19pts and 11 rebounds. the both are ranked in the state so give a lil love to her

From the ones I have seen play I would think that Molly Burchett, Kim Clark, and Becky Thomas are all most definitely top 10 players. Becky Thomas could be a force downlow in boy's basketball, she is good down low.

i agree with eddie wayne...out of pikeville's three guard starters--emily colvin by far plays with more heart and intensity then the other two put together

The way I see it is that Colvin is the better "athlete," but the Howards are better "basketball players." Colvin's athletically ability allows her to do pretty well in basketball but she doesn't have a better shot than the Howard's or the basketball instincts that the Howard's do. So IMO that's why you would probably have to rate the Howard's above Colvin.

trust me i know these girls too...Im not saying the twins aren't great athletes, because they are...but emily plays with more heart than both the twins...and imo these days playing with heart is worth more because players in general seem to have less of it

It all just depends on what you're looking for, heart or skills. IMO arguing over whether to rank Colvin above the Howard's isn't that big of a deal because there isn't room for all 3 of them to be on the list of Top 10 in the Region. They are all 3 are top players in the region, but possilby not all top 10.

Jarrell eat Thomas alive in a tourney at JC year before last when Jarrell was a Soph and Thomas a Junior, and that was before Jarrell even developed any kind of game. Thomas is OVERRATED. Megan Harris and Jarrell both are better post players, and like sportwhiz said, Thomas got all her points from the outside cause she couldn't score on her on the inside. As of last though, Jarrel hasn't been playing like a top 10 player, not on offense anyways (that actually isn't her fault since they don't hardly get her the ball anymore but still manages to get 10 points a game), she has been playing great defense down low.

I don't think u worded that right ... YES trammell is a top ten players but the whole her team isn't that good... well yeah they may not have won that much .. but they do have talent ... r u misjuding their talent? are u say that trammell is the only one that has talent on that team?
