Well I have fished at Cave Run, great lake to fish. One lake I wouldn't suggest fishing is Carr Creek Lake. There isn't any good fishing there unless if course you want to catch old boots or stick fish.
Cave Run without a doubt, its beautiful there, good fishing, alot of camping areas, cabins, etc....all and all it by far my favorite.

Well I mentioned earlier that Carr Creek Lake sucks.....does anyone like to fish there?I have fished Carr Fork Lake before and it is not bad, but not good either. Very scenic and has a good variety of fish IMO. I have seen a good sized wallai(sp"), some big catfish, and some medium sized bass come from that lake.

I like Yatesville for the location, but as BurntTires said, Dale Hollow is awesome. If you know how to fish Dewey, it too is a great lake to fish.

I have fished about every big lake in the state and Barren River has by far been the best for me catching largemouth. Dale Hollow would be the best if you were fishing for smallmouth.

 Absolutely!!! I love Dale Hollow. Haven't had the pleasure to fish Barren, but have heard nothing but great things. I'll be making a trip to Guntersville this March.

I made a trip to Guntersville last year. Your in for some big largemouth and you better have some braided line to pull them out of that mill foil and grass. Good luck!

It's hard not to catch fish at the Cumberland River. It's probably my personal favorite. But other than that I've only fished on Cave Run twice, Dewey, Red River Gorge, and Lake Cumberland.

I figured if the Casino passes, there will be one at Lake Cumberland. Which would draw alot of fishermen and vacations there. Casinos would help the lakes more than anyone since Casinos gotta be on water around here.
