ASHLAND — The man who turned Pendleton County High School into a boys’ basketball powerhouse is the new head coach at Ashland Blazer.
James “Buddy’’ Biggs was introduced today afternoon as the replacement for Mike Flynn, who accepted a position as assistant principal and boys basketball coach at Bourbon County.
In 2005, Biggs directed Pendleton County to the 10th Region championship and its first State Tournament appearance since 1971.
This past season, Pendleton County won 19 consecutive games on the way to the regional semifinals.
