I was wanting to know what kind of offense and defense that Magoffin County runs and who are going to be the leaders this year with the new coach. How many kids are out and how does everyone think they are going to be. I know they lost there MANCHILD QB. So if anyone could give me a little info??

They have some good numbers out, I dont know how they are going to be though, the Jenkins and Mogoffin county scrimmage will set the tone for the rest of the season for both teams

I fount out that Mcgoffin only have 25 players..

Yeah i was told that Mcgoffins coach last year told his team stay, and not fight.. cause he knew the MANCHILD started the fight.. yeah i hope for a cleaner game also...

When the fight broke out one of Magoffins coaches was slinging Jenkins players 10 yards of the Helton boy and I don't blame the guy.Grreen jerseys were flying every where.

yea...shep was a great player...but we got a kid from florida thats really good to, but the coach is good and i think they are gonna try harder this year

If i know Coach McCoy one thing that he will get out of his players is hard work and play till the whistle blows. I would say that he is going to try to push the administration into getting him a new wieght room since that is one of the things that he specializes in. If given time to implement his style of football which is probably time mangement offense and good solid defense, he should have the players it will take to field a playoff caliber team in a couple years.

It makes me sick how all I hear is the community is behind the new coach, The principal is behind the new coach. Why in the **** didnt you at least try to get behind the last coach, Mabey it would have made a difference, What a crock, You pretty much summed it all up and said nobody even supported the last coach whatsoever.
But support the new guy right? s ame ole story when he goes 0-10.

Well even with no support last years coach can never be 0-10, like this team will.nobody supported last years coach because everybody in the county knew what a joke that was he had absolutley NO experience as a football coach at the high school level and only 1 year as a middle school coach thats it period that was absolutley an embarrasment to the kids the school and the fans the previous principal IMO should be ashamed

Actually last years coach had no previous football experience period. He seemed to expect to be able to step in and manage a competent staff, which has been done before with varing degrees of success, but the competent staff never developed. Hence, what happened last year happened.

This year, a new administration decided to hire an expert and assemble a staff, rather than hire a manager and hope he can find an expert staff.

Opinions may vary, but I would much rather have my expert giving orders than taking them.

The only good from last season was that the kids that finished last season can be proud knowing without their dedication I believe there would be no football at Magoffin. Belfry had more assistants than we had players. Last yr injuries played a huge role in the Hornets lack of success. This yr new administration and new coach who will build a program.

Magoffin Co. has always had talented players that if they were giving good coaching and support, could have turned that program around. The fact is the administration hadnt supported this program and from what some are saying that is not the case now. I would like to see Magoffin field a competitive team but i think its going to take some time.

yea mr skaggs has already shown a new intrest in the baseball team. our last prl. only focused on basketball. they finaly got rif of the coach who never touched a football in his life a got coach macoy. from what i cant tell as one of his students ,i dont know bout on the field, but he has the one thing our football team has been lacking....disaplein

now that we have had a girls ball team in the state tourny and state champ cheerleaders. and several tennis players that has competed on the state leve more than once.....we have seen what can happen and now the county is finaly behind sumthin other than basketball Skaggs will do whatever he needs to do for the football team....it may take i few years but our football program will turn around

YOUR NO FAN AT ALL.not that i have to explain myself to you but i went to every game last year home and away and Never once said anything to those kids that wasnt supported they have my respect for the gutsy way they played last year nor did I say anything about there coach to them and i was around them alot as far as McCoy dont know him never had the chance to meet him been in Lexington last month or so and havent been around much but what i seen Friday was a team that was orgainised and a coach that seemed to know what was going on.write what ever you want i have always supported the kids and will continue to do so even if i dont like whats going on nuff said on this subject from me.
