Ashland at Prestonsburg Predictions and bets

Ashland makes the trip back down to Prestonsburg where they were beaten two seasons ago. I think the outcome will be different on this trip. Matt Thomas has become a man and most of Ashland has gotten healthy. Plus, Ashland played extremely flat against P West so they should be able to get some emotion back this week.

Last year Coach Hart ran the score up on Prestonsburg and clapped his hands when one of Prestonsburg's ballplayer got blindsided right before half. THat doesn't show much class even the refs comented on how Coach Hart and his staff was acting. Then I also heard that the coaches traded film today and Coach Hart short changes Prestonsburg on one of the films by only giving them the last few minutes of the 4 quarter of the Russell game. I hope the ballplayers remember last year and kick Ashland's A.. then send them back home with their no class coach.

You couldn't be further from the truth about last year's game. Coach Hart didn't run the score up on Prestonsburg. Ashland won 55-9 and didn't play their starters in the 2nd half and only scored 2 TDs in the second half.

Your only possible argument for running up the score was the fact that Ashland was trying to pass at the end of the first half. Which I agree is on the edge, but the reason for the passing was that there was very little time left in the half and Ashland was trying to build a large enough lead to create a continuous running clock for the 2nd half bringing a quicker end to the game.

As for clapping when a Blake Meade got crushed by Adam Cannoy, I'm sure he did. He was congratulating Adam on a great peel back block when the play broke down and the QB had to run. He wasn't clapping because the player was injured. Do you not immediately clap or cheer when one of your players execute a great clean block springing a big run?

If you want to talk about class, how about Coach Derossett sprinting across the field and challenging the Ashland staff to a fight after a clean block where a player happened to get injured?

It's ridiculous to hear a team talk about getting the score ran up them when they only lose 55-9 against a top 10 team in the state who plays their 2nd and 3rd string the entire 2nd half when they beat Magoffin County 83-12 and won't say they were in wrong.

Coach Derossett was taking up for his kids and when he went over to check on Blake Meade the Coachin Staff was laughing and that didn't set to well with Coach Derossett. I think Coach Derossett did the right thing and even the ref said he didn't blame Coach for acting that way because he said he would have done the same thing. You want to bring up Magoffin Co. score Prestonsburg played all their young kids stating in the 2nd quarter and played kids at running back that never play that postion and they scored. Magoffin Co. had players dropping like flies and they didn't want to play anymore. I think the Ashland P-burg game is a alot different compare to P-burg Magoffin Co. game. If you don't think Coach Hart was trying to run up the score the week of the game he said in the paper and on his radio show that he was going to make us pay because we beat your butts the year before and I guess he didn't think P-burg couldn't beat the all high mighty tomcats. He was complaining about a snake in the grass play just face it we beat you. I hope this year their is some class when you come to P-burg.
