Pugh, I've seen the kid do some amazing things. If Paintsville's o-line can improve each week, I'm sure I'll see more amazing things from the kid. Daniel is an all-around player, can do it all.

Now Bobby Hughes outplayed Pugh in the Pburg/pville game ! With Hughes with 3 td's, one rushing, two passing ! 150+ passing yards with about 30 rushing yards and Pugh with maybe 30 yds rushing and about 60 yds passing the game and now if we go to the other sport(Basketball) I would love to see these two play in a one on one game ! IMO I think these two are very similer in athleticism ! And you Pikeville fans seen how good Bobby was and if we would have caught two of those passes in that game I think we would have won it !

Hughes may have played better in the game but he also has the better team. Pugh has absolutely nothing to work with in terms of an O-line. Pugh is by far the most complete and all around QB in eastern kentucky. He has exception speed for a QB and when given time to showcase his arm strength, he can fill alot of eyes. Hughes did have the better game of the two that night but in a one-on-one comparison of the two i would take Pugh any day of the week although Hughes is a good QB.

And if they had not caught those 2 passes, Paintsville woulda won.
Hughes is a fine athlete, but Pugh is just better.

Hughes is a way better passer than pugh..every ball that pugh threw aginst prestonsburg should have been shot out of the sky with a 12 gauge..just because a qb can scramble doesnt make him better

Pugh was 11/19 in that game....not real shabby.....Hughes was 4/6.
Peyton Manning throws one of the ugliest balls ever, but not many would ***** about having him as there QB and he couldn't run out of sight in a day.

Put Pugh on P-burg's team and Hughes on Paintsville's team you would quickly realize just how good Pugh is. Paintsville has to rely on Pugh for everything and every defense in the world knows that. On the other hand, Hughes is not expected to carry P-burg on every single drive.

It doesn't matter if he outperformed him in ONE game. Overall, Pugh is a much better player, but he has a horrible team around him and a horrible line. I'm sure Paintsvile's defense isn't that great either. Pugh is a good player on a bad team.

With an offensive line and other people to back him up this guy would be better than he already is.

i was at the game and he definately did not impress mee at all. and to say if you caught two passes you would have won is absolutely insane. by the way you DIDNT catch those passes and you DIDNT win, end of story.

Daniel Pugh is a heck of an athlete.
Football: Dual-threat QB as well as a solid DB
Basketball: Floor general for tradition-rich Paintsville program
Baseball: Slick-fielding SS who can hit for average and power
Boxing: Let's just say watch out for that right...
Sorry, Bobby. This one's Pugh's.

And you'd enjoy watching Pugh, play strong defensively. His defense would probably open up the opportunities for him to score and he'd more than likely win. Sadly enough though, I've been told Pugh has decided to bypass his senior season on the hardwood to focus on boxing and baseball.

Pugh may not have the team that he had last year, but he looked absolutely awful in the game against Prestonsburg.
