This was an awesome game for Jenkins. Everything went there way. Well I know this because I play for Jenkins. It was the best team effort I have ever seen. Who would have ever thought Jenkins would shut a team out, especially a team like South Floyd. We are in the drivers seat for the 4th spot in the playoffs. It feels great don't it fellows

Even a broke clock is right twice a day, and well the Cavaliers are the broke clock and have won a massive two games. Better tell Beechwood or New Cath to watch out when they roll into Jenkins this year...give me a break.

Not trying to be stupid, just one of your fans/players...idk who it is wants me to apologize for not picking Jenkins to win against South Floyd. I don't even know if I made a prediction to begin with regarding this game. Glad people think enough about me to put me in this thread. Like I stated earlier, congrats on the win and I hope you make it to the playoffs.

OK, I'm about sick. I played football for 14yrs of my life. I played for a state-semi team that went 11-3 several years ago. We were the #1 pass defense in Class A and the #4 pass defense in the entire nation. I signed out of high school with Pre-season/Post-season #13 in NAIA. I had several offers to go to other NAIA, Div. 2 and 3 schools, and had the chance to walk-on at a Div.1AA too. I played football for two years in college til I blew my knee out. So for someone not playing a down of football in their life, you must be talking about someone else but it sure as **** isn't me.

Until you all prove everyone wrong you are going to keep hearing those remarks, its not like Jenkins is a powerhouse and they haven't made the playoffs probably since the black and white television came out or the wheel was invented. Until you all get with the program and step your game up and actually do something, then you're going to continously hear those comments.

Well most people on here know who I am, and I believe I have just about as much a right to post the way I feel just like you do. And take my advice, try to get some of your track studs out on the football field and you will have much better results and possibly get the program back on track to at least a .500 record.

Not ragging, just trying to get some of you Jenkin's posters heads out of the clouds. You still almost have half the season left, and you are looking at a potential playoff spot, if you keep living in the games you've played this season you won't look ahead for the brighter picture. Sounds like you all are satisfied by what you have done so far, never be satisfied, you've got to be hungry and want it more than every team you play every Friday night. You have to prepare harder than your opposition. You got to be the team that when the others call it a day at 6, you are still out there running gasers in uppers. You can't be content on a 2 win season. If you are happy with where you are and want to keep on bragging on what you've done to this point, go ahead, just realize that you actually got more to play for now. But if you want to do something more, and something some team from your school may never do again any time soon, leave the game behind on saturday and start to prepare mentally and physically for the next game. The past is done with, tomorrow brings a new day, you just have to decide that if tomorrow you want to prepare like the better team or just throw your hat out on the field saying we won 2 games and we're the best team Jenkins has had in forever, that decision is up to you and the other players.

You know you are right.. but dude EVERYONE downs Jenkins and we like to congratulate each other.. and let people know Jenkins is doing better than they have.. but we need to put this game behind us and get ready for Pikeville.. i'll be the one who says you are right about that.. and see at Jenkins we have had playoffs on our mind since summer practice, and that one thing we want BAD... so were gonna go cause were hungry for it.. lol

Saying you're hungry and actually being hungry is two different things. You can say it until you are blue in the face, or you can actually go out and act like you are hungry and work your tails off. You may think you do right now, but go to a Belfry practice, a Pikeville practice, a Johnson Central practice, watch how they work and take it to each other every second. Turn the lights on late at night to finish up perfecting their game plan. If you all can say that, then yeah you want it.

I'll have to agree with Card on this one. I know you all have done better than all expectations...even better than what I thought. You have to go out each and every day in practice and make it better than the practice before. Work hard for 2 1/2 hours each day(or however long you practice)...encourage one another, challenge one another to do their very best and at the end of the day walk off the field with no regrets. I had a coach one time say "Play every play like it's your last, you never know...it just might be." Believe me it's true, my time has come and gone...ended with that knee injury I mentioned before. It flies by, just play as hard as you can each day and for 48mins each Friday night...and if you can look your teammate and tell them you gave it all you had for the team that night that's all you can do. Beat AC and beat BL. Hope to see you all in the playoffs.

Good Post! I can honestly say that this Jenkins team workds hard in practice and finally see's what they could have in store for them. It has been 11-12 years since Jenkins made it to the playoffs but I agree that we aregoing to have to prove that we can play with 1 of the 3 powers in our district! Just a great group of boys...

when did you run track? I ran for Jenkins back in 2000 when we won region. Jenkins does have some good runners now but not like we used to. and one or two do play football. They just dont have that many boy in the school no more. to many kids around her dont like to get dirty or something, I guess they dont grow them like they used to. or mommy and daddy dont want them to get hurt. lol......
