Why would go around at the begin ing of the season oh well we've lost here and there so well we may not have no pride this year and basically say we give up! No theres a new pride in the Valley and we are gonna repesent it. I mean and to make this comment is just down right awful. Other people show pride in there schools and maybe we have set goals high and maybe we will not reach them but it is still good to set high goals for somethign to accomplish.

You know Valley has a got a good team and they played a whale of a game tonight they were up for it...Grundy at 0-3 was a little hungrier...Your guys played there hearts out so dough boy let some stuff slide instead of tarnishing your teams effort with a mouth full of nothing that anybody cares about anyway....Valley was better than I thought and Grundy was down more than what I expected,My hats off to both teams....

well, I heard tonight that we had a lot of doubters on this side of Fishtrap - heck, after talking to some people "in the know", a local daily picked SV 42-6... I think that helped fire the boys up. Add the fact that our District is tough again this year, and I think they decided tonight they had something to prove.

They played a very good team tonight.....and helper id say they were motivated by that and a lot of local people and fellow students bashing them....Valley aint got nothing to hang there head about they played a heck of a game....

Valley is a great team, this was a great game and congrats to both teams but mostly to Grundy for the tough close win

great job to both teams and expecially to valley because before this game everyone was wanting a expecting a blow out and to be honest i think valley played 10times better than grundy just the second half with the hurt center valley had a hard time getting the snaps off but at the end of the game with 4 seconds left valey should of took off with a big W by the game but grundy pulled of a great play to number 15 a great player but good luck to both of the teams in the rest of the season and in the playoffs

Zack McCoy was the center that was injured (hamstring), Tyler Cable moved from Gaurd to replace McCoy, Daniel Gillespie moved from Tackle to Gaurd, and Corey Mullins came in to fill the Tackle position

Looking at Valley's roster and Grundy's they darn near look identical except I think you guys have a few more seniors than Grundy...(3@ Grundy)Both teams are extremely young.....Id like to see these schools play every year....Valley has a GOOD FOOTBALL TEAM.....Good luck the remainder of your season....:thumpsup:

Are you saying that Shelby Valley is as good OR better than Pikeville?? Granted, SV handed Phelps something that they have used this year as a focal point! No I'm just saying that Phelps wouldn't still beat Valley, IMO Pikeville is better than Valley. And the score would still be close to what it was anyway. But anyway Valley lost there starting center in this game and Johnson is gone for the season. But, I think they can really rebound from these loses and still impress.

Well then agian I must say why is everyone keep bringing up the matewan game. If you all can keep bringing up that I can keep bringing up the 4 seconds. I know that Valley lost to Matewan in 4 seconds and I know the game isn't over until the last buzzer. But all I was saying that Valley had nothing handed to em. They played there hearts out the left everything they had on the field. If you get beat 79-6 you get your butts handed to you. But I want to comend all you Valley Players on a job well done. And yet another man calling a coach an idiot for caring and arguing disputable calls. So eveyr coach who has ever recieved a flag is an idiot? Coach Saunders is a wonderful coach. NO matter what any one else says. The kids love him, the parnets love him and by far he has done what he is there to do win. He has installed pride in the valley. Somethign that hasmnt been there in a while. The fans and kids no longer go into any game thinking they will lose. They have an attitue that they will win every game, no matter who they are playing. Which is a wonderful thing to have. And people may say gah you need to quit drinking the coach saunders kool-aide.
