Amen to that BJ. I've seen Greenup this year and they just can't seem to get their act together. Subs in by half time.

JC will easily win this one. In fact, they should easily win all of their remaining games, with maybe the exception of Ashland. However, I don't think Ashland can stay with them this year. JC SHOULD go deep into the playoffs if they keep playing like they are right now and don't become overconfident.

JC could be looking at a shut out if they wanted. I don't think that it will happen because they have more class than that.

Eagle Fan

JC has not had a shut out all year but it's not because they couldn't have had them. I don't think they will have a shut out the rest of the season. They have 2 really tough games coming up after Greenup. I don't see a shut out in either one of those games.

Expect to hear that cannon go off several times.

Well they could shut them out, but it's going to be up to the JV to stop them. When I played our JV held the shutout several times...I think we ended up with 3 my senior season. Anyway...JC by as many as they want.

EKY Sportster
10-01-2006, 09:44 PM
It doesn't matter if they shut them out! Just win the game and protect the starters. If JC can stay healthy, they should be able to handle Ashland and that is there only real competition this year until the playoffs.

I've seen Ashland and they really didn't impress me all too well. They have a good running back and a QB with a strong arm, but has a tendency to be inaccurate. JC should roll until they face Region 3.

This is kinda a trap game for JCHS. It is right after a record setting performance and in the middle of what would be the district championship game. If the Golden Eagles overlook GC than it could be a rough night. I don't look for that to happen though. JC should win this one big

First, I don't think that JC could overlook GC. The whole JC team would have to go on vacation to lose this one. They could be half a sleep and should still win.

Second, Ashland's performance at P-burg was not one for the books. They can and have played much better this year. But, with that said, this year's Ashland team isn't last year's either, while JC seems to be better than last year.

I expect JC to go deep into the playoffs if they stay healthy.

I see all this talk about ashland, guys I am very impressed with JC this year and they are putting up very impressive numbers....but against who??? The schedule looks very weak to me. Not trying to stir a stink in here, but its something to think about. btw, JC rolls at there own pace, jv's in quick. I am also glad to see our district putting two teams in the top ten, better yet at least one (JC) above the Rock and Bell!!! about time!

JC is not looking past GC...Should be another early evening for Grim. All this talk about strength of schedule....when we beat Ashland will you still be screaming strength of schedule? Will Ashland suddenly become a "weak team" on your scales?

Can't wait to hear it!

Grim how about another 200 yards friday night?

IRISH4

If Grim doesn't do it then look for Johnson to. Too much power and speed in that backfield and their passing game can be effective also.

JC is too good for anyone in their district. They are LOADED, I'll go ahead and say JC beats Ashland by 35. Last home game of the season(unless you want to count the region championship or state semi game), homecoming, senior night, no way they go out with an L. They will make a statement in this game. They have a two weeks to prepare for Ashland, I'm sure they'll do to Ashland what NCC done to us back in 01, call the plays before the ball is snapped, they'll know every little thing Ashland will throw at them and shut it down. But on this game, I say JC hangs another 50 spot up on the board, Greenup may sniff the endzone late in the game.

I seriously doubt that Ashland will have enough to beat JC this year. However, I wouldn't expect a blowout as they are the strongest team on the JC regular season. I just hope that JC is the real deal and can finally go deep into the playoffs. Good luck!

There could be some truth to this.. He messed a ligement or something up in his hip that holds it in place and it pops in and out.. Thats what he told me but as far as him setting out he didnt say..
I will try to find out.

The talent level of JC is about the same as last year. The two BIG differences are experience and balance of run and pass (which JC didn't have last year)

I am sure it will.....we have all heard it before, uh hum. I had no intentions to offend anyone, its plain and simple on paper, jc has played a weak schedule so far. I am by no means taking anything away from your team. you have put up impressive numbers, but I state again...against who??? admit it. I will go ahead and tell you, Ashland isn't the team they were last year. but jc will not walk over them like they have all the other little teams. good luck against greenup, walk all over them, but don't get too high on the horse, trust me, its a hard fall when you get knocked off.

Ok maybe so but are you saying that Ashland has had a tougher schedule? If so, against who? 1 and 2A teams!! If that makes them better then JC then so be it but JC has played all 3 and 4A teams except for Painstville and to me that makes them more able to handle the Cats then the Cats being able to handle the EAGLES!!!!!

JC fans don't be upset at some for doubting your teams ability against the teams you have played. Those will get what is coming to them in due time. JC's goal this wk. should be taking it to Greenup Co. This game should have been played tonight at the request of JC. JC last season played on a thursday to help GC and they refused to return the favor this season. PUT IT ON GC EAGLES!

1 and 2 A teams that are very powerful, ranked in the top 5, and have winning records against very strong programs. hello guys... 1-4 is not a winning record, no matter how many A's you put behind it.
