The word is that Steinbrenner will fire Joe Torre for Lou Pinella. I know that Pinella is a good manager that led the Reds to the World Series championship in 1990, but is he really better than Torre. Also, how great would it be if the Yanks traded A-Rod to the Reds? I think once he gets out of that environment he will flourish. I think this is very possible. The Reds would probably have to give up Encarnacion, and one of Dunn or Griffey. I could live with that.
