A Cincinnati-to-Newark, N.J., flight was diverted to Cleveland's airport Monday night after a passenger made threatening remarks, a Continental Airlines spokeswoman said.

The crew of Continental Express Flight 2772 opted to divert as a
precaution and the plane landed safely, Continental spokeswoman
Julie King said. She did not know of any injuries to the 13
passengers or three crew members.

King didn't know the unruly passenger's name or whether it was a
man or a woman. The passenger was taken into custody, Cleveland
Police Lt. Thomas Stacho said.

Passengers were taken to a fire station on the airport grounds
to be interviewed, Stacho said.

The pilot requested the diversion, citing an unspecified
security scare, said Tony Molinaro, a spokesman for the Federal
Aviation Administration.

Several police cars could be seen outside the terminal at
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and emergency vehicles
were near a runway.

Molinaro referred further questions to the Transportation
Security Administration, where a message was left seeking comment.
Messages also were left with fire officials and airport
commissioner Fred Szabo.

The flight left Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International
Airport around 7:30 p.m., according to Continental's Web site.
