Yes that score is right tough loss for the Valley Seniors, Sv also loss Kinney in the second half

No big surprise. Prestonsburg is not bad this year. Just not good enough to play with most of the teams on their schedule and win the district.

Yea and P-burgs victory means that the 3-way tie is still on and that Belfry is most likely to win it unless there is a HUGE upset next week between SV and Belfry. Doubt it.

Prestonsburg did not show up till the 2nd half ! SV had the lead at the half 8-6 ! Chayse Martin woke up the blackcats in the 2nd half by catching a big pass and evetually scoring and then caught an interception ! Seth Setser had a great game with over 170 yards rushing on about 10 attempts ! The blackcat D stop SV the whole night ! SV's leading rusher in the game only had 30 some odd yards ! So Congrats to my Blackcats !

congrats to the blackcats and a tough loss to the valley boys....Chris Yates from Valley had a heck of a game tonight, his name was called out on almost every play, even though he had a broke hand he still played his heart out and i just wanted to congradulate him with the rest of valley's boys on a great played game

IMO game as alot closer than the score indicated. Valley had some trouble on kickoff returns. P-burg has a great kicker. Put it in the end-zone botu everytime. Valley missing some several key players in Cable, Johnson, and Kinney in the second half.

Good game to P-burg
Great job my cats. LKeep up the hard work boys. P-burg scored to late td's.. Valleys bench is small not much depth. Gah if we could put together 4 quarters.

Congrat's Blackcats on a game that was a must to win. P'burg made the needed half time adjustments and came out the 2nd half to play closer to the way they should.

The only reason Prestonsburg won this game is because Valley had to many good players hurt. I think if this game was at the start of the season Valley would have won it. But they didn't, so congrats P-burg on the win.

I'm sorry man or women but you think SV would have moved the ball on Pburg's D ! I dont think so ! SV had a BIG line and they couldnt get anywhere they had some good runs of 8 yards every now and then thats it ! Pburg only allowed about 100 total yards of offense in the game ! I'm sure Cable and Johnson would not have made 23 point difference ! Big sign for pburg was that the Offense had finally woke up, And I think our go to guys after that game are Chayse Martin through the air and sophmore Seth Setser on the ground !

Pburg should have finished the game with 33 points but they said that SV's QB wasnt sacked in the endzone ! Now you SV ppl know that it was a Saftey !

But they didn't, so congrats P-burg on the win.Prestonsburg could have won with all Valley players healthy, and with P-burg's players grandmothers playing. SV does not compare to P-burg. Just think about how bad SV really is. Prestonsburg is not that good this year, but still win by 23. So what does that tell you about SV? I think it's time you come off of your high horses and realize SV will not beat P-burg in the near future.

if shelby vally would finish, they would be a great team..they come ot firing on all cylinders and then once the other team scores they lay down. Like last year, Valley was ahead at half time by 2 touchdowns at prestonsburg, 21-7, and after the half prestonsburg came out ready to go and won 42-21...Like last night, the score at the half was valley 8, prestonsburg 6.

And now lol im gonna take up for that thread. Are they not entitled to there own view? In there view they think the game woulda been different without the injuries. A big line? Sv's line is very small. Obviously I think they could move the ball on SV's defense they proved it to me in the first half. We just quit. You knwo what gets me is we have maybe one or two, blackcat fans on here actually giving us a little credit. We gave you a game the first half. And still we have comments like, "Way to go Pburg.Always nice to have your way with SV."

I do...every day of the week..I live between Valley and Pikeville, so I talk to all sorts of people...and the Valley fans are by far (for some reason) the more unlikeable of the two..so to answer your question, I DO talk to your fans in real life.You one valley fan gets on here and makes a statement like that. Well good job to the wildcats, they still get to play in the playoff's and sorry for the seniors b/c that was your last game on the turf! It makes a big difference when one of the best d-linemen was not playing.

Unfortunately, it seems Shelby Valley is nowhere near competing with the big 3 in District 8. That said, as of next year, there is no district 8 as we currently know it.It's basically the same alignment with the exception of Prestonsburg and SV. All the others in the district move to 3A but are in the same district. Prestonsburg will still be playing SV in the district with Bath and Morgan Counties.

Not getting mad just stating facts. A great team will have people in place to step in for the injured. If your whole team depends on just a couple of players than they are in bad shape.

Well its hard to replace good players like that when you only have 25 players and most are freshmen and sophmores. If Tyler Johnson was 100% against Matewan they would have beat them like a drum. The only reason they lost that game cause it was a fluke. Also with all them 100% they would have beat Belfry this year.

That is the funniest thing I have ever heard. SV fans have the same old complaints every year. Every year you build up your team and every year you have the same record.

1. Matewan isn't that great. But, they are better than SV. 2. SV couldn't beat Belfry this year if they all were 150%... You guys have got to get your head outta your tails.. 1 player isn't a team... A team is a team... SV just don't have it.. And as far as I can remember, in football, they never have.. Understand, your getting that SV is great because they play a cake schedule.. Any team
can be undefeated if they play horrible teams...

The difference between this years teams is there actually getting some support from the community. Maybe we do hype our team every year. Maybe we may have the same record year after year. But ITS OUR TEAM! Why can't we show some pride and hype ourselves. If thats what it takes to make us happy then so be it. Is not every game played a friday? So any thing came happen on a friday night right? So why are we not allowed to hype ourselves other teams do. What would be the point every year sayig "Well, you know were gonna suck this year." or "Well, you know, we may win game this year?" I mean if you know were so awful and we think were so much better than any one and that we have our heads in the clouds then why come in a Valley thread just to down a team. Or don't come to a Valley game. Wait you can't not do that cause sometimes we play your favorite teams and you like to support them just like we do!

I don't think it's recruiting when your bbetter players want to win. And usually to win you have to leave SV. It's a harsh reality isn't it.
