Hey guys, I watched film last night of Mercer & Newport last night.. Mercer won 27-6... Mercer is good.. but they don't look untouchable...
They don't look much better than NCC, IMHO....
Thier backs seem to have good speed & power.. but the line doesn't look particular fast..
NCC beat Newport 20-0... and as we all know, Belfry already beat NCC..
Mercer isn't untouchable

Nice points to have now, nice to have someone outside the BOX looking and giving their opinion... I still think they are the team to beat unless they are knocked off......

Only 3 teams have winning records that Mercer has beat...
LCA, Newport, & Spencer Co. .... Spencer is just barely over .500, so I wouldn't call them a quality opponent... LCA had a decent record (9-3), but thier (SOS) isn't very high... Newport is decent, but I wouldn't put them close to the level Belfry, Russell, & Middlesboro are on team wise... I see whoever comes out of the east has a good chance to upset the Titans, bearing Mercer makes it to the title game..
