Some people think that Pikeville's Honaker twins are over rated what do you think?

this is in the wrong area this should b in the Boys Basketball aread :-)
but yeah i think they are they are hot one night then the next they play terrible i think the more they mature the better they will b Tim is the better one by far he takes some bad shots though. :-)

They both hustle but both have terrible shot selection. If they can work on that, then they should be pretty good. But football is their sport.

yeah i agree with u i know fo one time in the PC game Tim took one from pike almost half court probley lol. with a guy on him also

well tim has really exploded this year giving the team a lift...ted doesnt get the PT that tim gets but they both are very talented at everything they do...look for good things from them in the future, and remember they are just freshman!

tim has had a lot of high scoring games that have helped lift the team to victry thats all i meant

Well, I think they are both overrated in basketball. I mean they are freshman. They are also at the age of 15 though. They should be maturing more throughout their years. Tim is the better player only because he is left handed. Both have talent though. But, football is where i see them being a good player in.

I personally dont think either on of them is anything outstanding, and they do have bad shot selection, and one of them has an ugly looking shot, I dont know which though. They are in my opinion very overatted, but I have only saw them play 2 games.

personally, i think that tim has a nice shot but he isnt very selective over them IMO. ted doesnt get enough playing time. if they mature through a few more years of play then they good be alright.
there both really over-rated.....the reason there as good as they are is because there quick and can jump....in other words atheletic.......IMO...........they need to stick to football

on defense all they do is slap at the ball thats why they're man beats them all the time. They have really bad shot selection and Tim is always out of control. But, I think they will get better, especially Ted because is has matured during the season this year.

That has nothing to do with basketball though. They both make some poor decisions but with time comes experience so that they can learn from their mistakes. But yeah...football is definetly the sport they need to stay with.

You definately don't want to get into with me about football, after all playing in that region coughweakcough. Besides I don't play for Prestonsburg so that doesn't bother me at all. I beat Pikeville my senior year, so NAAA.......Honakers are still overrated in bball.

the point is they have talent, and there is nothing else to it! I must say that I would gladly accept that challenge from the fellas and play them in anything except football because the only play I know is 34 crossbuck on 2. The Hanging Judge would also like a bit of that. Be careful as to who you seek to challenge on here because some of these boys have a pretty good background to back them up whether from down the road or up the road. Just on a sidenote and I don't want to get off track but do they play pickleball and would they like a proper dose? Doses don't cost anything but a little pride.

I'll tell ya what, this "horrible" team should have beaten your great blackcats and took them into overtime. And don't come back with a reply that Pburg played horrible that night. I'm already sick of hearing how horrible they played in the pike county bowl. Your team ain't the best either, and leave the Honakers out of it. They are just freshman! :roll:

I practiced with the honaker twins last summer and from what i saw, they have planty of potential, but being on a not-so-good team hurts them

How does it hurt them? Can't they step up and make a "not so good" team better? Freshmen are doing it all over the region.... :wink:

trust me the Honakers have plenty of talent surrounding them at Pikeville, no one has wanted it as much as they do yet tho, but i am sure everyone will come around!

all u Pikeville fans ever do is convert over into Football thats all you all know how to do when ur getting burnt in the basketball section. The Honaker Twins are overrated in basketball THIS YEAR. That doesnt mean next year or 2 or 3 years down the road. All im saying is they have some improving to do on shot selection and on defence. Both are very lazy unless they have the ball in their hands and you cant deny that ill show u some film if you would like to get into it MANCHILD. Are they good at football yeah they have alot of potential, but have to convert that into SOMETHING that can b SHOWN. There is a big diffrence in being good and haveing the POTENTIAL to b good and someone said we made it farther than you did refering to football. Pikeville from what i saw got a nice WHOOPING @ home by Belfry and P-Burg went to Belfry and took the game to the WIRE.

I wasnt bashing them at all. I just said that there was room for improvement and they do have poor shot selection point blank.

You know what I have to say in response to that? Evently crap stops stinking, then it turns white and flakes away. You had a good game I'll give you that, but fact is you lost. You all are the ones that brought football up.
Besides when I was in school, when I played, Pikeville NEVER beat me at any varsity sport.
So the football comments don't bother me.

I think the fact that this thread is still going after neither(Ted didn't even play) were a real factor in either district tourney loss goes a long way toward saying they are overated.

Dirty they realy dont have basketball skills they are ateletic thats about it IMO if i was them i would stick to football i mean think okay how much better would they get at football if they lifted year around worked on speed which we know they have the speed but think if they got faster and stuff i mean workign with one sport year around makes a HUGE diffrence.
