Whenever I was in middle school I played for Georgetown Middle. I got to play against some good players there. I played against Brian Smith (Tubby's youngest son currently with Ole Miss), Chris Lofton, I knew Rick Jones and Scott Hundley real well (Scott Co, 98 and 99 Mr. Basketballs from KY and went to Vanderbilt), I think I got to play against Demitrius Green from Catholic, played against Tyler Hicks from Scott Co., played against Justin Lee from Scott Co., C-3 Brown from Scott Co ( now at Georgetown College), I've played a pick-up game with Jeff Shepherd (UK player during the 98 championship season), played against Jeff Brasso (UK player), shot with Cameron Mills (UK player), played against JR Vanhoose almost every week at Archer Park in Prestonsburg, Brad Knuckles (I think he was MR. Basketball in WV), watched Rajon Rondo, talked to Tayshaun Prince, Jamaal McGloire, Jules Camara, Saul Smith, Tubby watched me play in middle school during a Christmas Tournament. I think I could go on and on about people I have watched or played against. Also just a couple weeks ago I played against 2 guys that play for Marshall. As you can tell I play alot of basketball.

Brad Knuckles played for Counsel, VA. They won the VA state championship in 01. He plays at ETSU. They went 33-1 that year. I can't remember who they lost to, wait it was Shelby Valley!

Jody Thompson, Keith Fuller, and Rodney Fuller were all amazing players in the late 80s and early 90s at FCHS. Those are about the only ones that I can remember from back in the day.

Two that stand out in my mind that I seen last year was Rajon Rondo(currently at UK), and Josh Smith(playing for the Altanta Hawks).

Both were awesome in their senior year of high school, and they both pkayed for Oak Hill.

I play against Shawn Newsome frequently and he is one of the best I've played with, I'm with BCF4L on this one, he is probably the best player to come out of the 15th in the past 5 years.

Todd Conley - Elkhorn City

J.R. VanHoose - Marshal University (Paintsville)

John & Ryan Ortega - Prestonsburg

David Harrison - Morehead State University

David Graves (Notre Dame) & Shawn Fields - Lex Cath

Jeremy Hall - Allen Central (Wisconsin)

Charles Thomas (Minnesota) & Casey Lester - Harlan

Thats all I can think of right now, but my old man was as good as any of these guys in his hay-day. Thats no lie either, up until he was about 30 he could flat ball and being that he was around 18 when I was born I am fortunate enough to remember. :D

Are you serious? He was talked about ALL year long, he only averaged 26 points a game as a FRESHMAN, made 3rd team AP All-State, everyone knew who Landon was WAY before the region tourney, that was just when everyone found out he was the real deal.
