it was agood game 4 point game with about 3 minutes to go Magoffin was down 14 at one time ferguson hit a couple of 3s and when Magoffin had to foul they hit there freethrows

MC plays off emotion more than talent. PHS played decent at times and not very good at other times.

They rotate. At 1 site the girls will play first and the boys 2nd. Then at the other teams site they will rotate that with the boys playing first. You will not have to worry the next time though, MC has already played their 2 games vs. Paintsville, so the boys will have 1 game left to play @ Paintsville in early Jan.

It didn't look like a "real punch". It was a flailing flat-palmed,flinging sort of thing... I'd call it a "wild slap" that missed. I hate that it happened at all. I will agree, the referees could use some remediation, a workshop, or a copy of 'Basketball Officiating for Dummies'. All they had to do at any time during this game was stop the action, call both teams into them, and advise that techincal fouls and ejections would result if the boys couldn't keep it clean. I believe that "Knee-Hi or Nehi" does a great job of getting his team ready both physically and mentally. All this prep may have caused the players to really get after it and perhaps do things they may not have really intended to do. I'll give the benefit of the doubt on that for now, I guess we'll see whenever they come to Paintsville. In the meantime, Good luck to both teams.

Not to put anyone down but I was in the front row and there was no punches thrown by Rice. They just got tangled up and got in each other faces. If there was a punch thrownw then Rice would of got ejected but he didn't.

I asked Rice about the play and he said he did not throw a punch and that they just got into it. Magoffin really gets in your face and can make anyone mad with their aggressive style. But all this talk about Magoffin not having ANY talent is just crazy. They have 3 GREAT players that anyone would love to have in Devin Rice, Eric Arnett, and Clay Fletcher. Anyone of these players are capable of having 20+ maybe even 30+ on any given night.

Arnett has been averaging 20+ up until this game.
I couldn't understand why some players were out of control, "fighting" on the court and Ferguson and Arnett were benched most of the night in foul trouble.
Magoffin wants to beat Paintsville so bad they let their emotions take over and it effects their playing. These are high school boys and anytime you get these two teams together it gets heated.

Paintsville looked horible, played horible, and won by twelve. I could make up all kinds of lame excuses, but what good does that do? I try to tell it the way I see it. But here....I will give some excuses like you all...We coulda won by 30+, but, but, but,.....Jeremy wrecked his car that morning and couldn't play at all......They had to ride a bus all the way to MC........Grimmie's feelings were hurt.......Landons nose started bleeding in this game as well....Those boys from MC scare us....We had three cheerleaders that had cramps...on and on and on.

Where did he even imply that Paintsville doesn't or has never done anything like that? Everybody knows they do, ****, I did. However, the fact of the matter is he was only pointing out that he saw a punch thrown. He didn't pass judgment or expound upon how that type of behavior is above Paintsville. When is Paintsville going to have a good game when they actually win by what the Paintsville fans think they should have? One team got lucky, the other was thugs... What does it take for Paintsville to have their "A" game going? I do think Paintsville has a great bunch of players playing for them. But I dont think they are the dominate team that the Paintsville lovers think they are.

Louisville fan??? Well they do have a good football team and should win the Orange Bowl easily IMO. I prefer watching the Irish though and cheer for the Wildcats when they aren't playing.

Didn't mean to get off topic, but back to the game....Congrats to Paintsville on the victory and to Magoffin Co. for putting up what sounded to be a good game. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the region "IF" they can learn to finish games and play for the entire 32 minutes. Good luck to both teams with the rest of their seasons. Anyone know when these two teams square off again??? I was a little under the weather last time and would like to watch the rematch....haven't really seen a good, physical game this season.
