I heard the site was Paintsville. If so I feel sorry for antone who has to go to the old sardine can. Me on the other hand will be staying home so I don't have to put up with the little tikes gymnasium. What does everyone else think of the tourny site?

:) TRAIN man, don't be puttin down my gym now. BUT, as much as I hate Allen Centrals gym, I think it should be there or at Pikeville like it always is.

Pikeville would be a better gym to host the all A IMO, but Paintsville's gym is better than AC's gym that's for sure...

the only thing paintsville's gym is better for is holding a checker's all a tournament:thatsfunn
What's wrong are you affraid to bring your game on the road like Paintsville does every year to play in the All-A. It's about time they change the venue.

It's a horrible gym to watch a game in... The view from anywhere in the upper level is not very good...

not many its a pretty small gym
Whats wrong with Allen Centrals gym, its one of the biggest gyms in the regionI thought it was supposed to be one of the bigger gyms in the state Capacitaty wise, I could be wrong though. I think they have a very nice gym though, probabily the biggest in the region. But I can see what the King is talking about, it is very spaced out.

Paintsville's gym has a 1500 person capacity. They have new seating through out the gym.
It shouldn't be too crowded since the All "A" crowds have slimmed somewhat. Also, most anyone who has ever played there will admit that it is a great gym to shoot in -- makes for exciting basketball.

If Paintsville's gym seats 1500 then Belfry, East Ridge, Pikeville, and Pike Central hold 5,000 and my bathrooms hold 300

If it were time to change the venue, they should have changed it to some place that is actually worth a crap.

I have played there and to be honest with you I would rather play at the Blue Goose or Warfield than at Paintsvilles sardine can.

Haha.
I have played there too, but come'on, The Blue Goose or Warfield? That certainly is a bit of a stretch.

Speak with the State Fire Marshal on that one -- not my problem. I just gave you the capacity that the State Fire Marshal's Office approved. I have his number if you need it.

I know a lot of people won't go for fear of not finding a seat and i figure that whoever is running the all a would want more money so it seems they would have it at a larger gym...and also pikeville has no fear of going on the road but there wouldnt be a problem if the gym sat more than my living room....

One think I am surprised that hasnt been mentioned is the parking. I heard they are saving the one little parking lot beside the gym for the Paintsville VIP to use. Where is the every day person and the team busses going to be parked? All the way over at Johnson Central or somewhere close?

I believe the parking was discussed in another thread.
We have enjoyed traveling over the years to other venues. We have done so without complaining.
We hope everyone comes out and has a good time. There will be parking close by for anyone who wants to come. There are (6) parking lots encircling the gym on one block. There are (4) parking lots within (2) blocks of the gym. If you can't find a spot to park, then it's your own fault for waiting til the last minute to come out to the game. No gym in the 15th provides valet parking that I am aware of.... there will be good food and good basketball to be sure. Things will be very well organized and hopefully all you "Rockefellars" will be appeased.
We may be small, but we still have one thing that no other 15th Region Class A school has...... right in our Commons Area... so y'all come on out, we'll be waiting with the light on!
