Powell-63 Cumberland-57
Powell's JV gets another win. Cumberland has one of the worst JV teams I have ever seen which let Powell built up a 16 point lead in the 3rd quarter but Cumberland made a couple big 3's and sent it into overtime. All 5 of powell's starters were in double digits. Rice and Jarvis steped up big time filling the role of the injured Conley. Powell should have won this one in a blowout instead they get a 6 point win in overtime but oh well I guess any win is a good win.
if conley would have played then he would have had 30 points. all 5 starters did good. brewer with some 3 pointers. crowe also scored good on the drive . hawkins almost had a triple double with points ,rebounds and , assissts , his dishes were the main reason jarvis and rice had their career highs in points . jarvis played his best game when they needed it adding 18 points and rice did also adding 16 points. i would still like to see powells jv play wolfe's varsity. i think they would win. brewer, hawkins , crowe, and conley could all start for wolfe's varsity . they are just stuck behind some seniors in powell county

In defence of Cumberland's JV, the "would be" top 3 players on that team play only Varsity. They would be much better with them. Also, they are not bad as it is, they must not be too bad to take a Powell JV team to overtime that apparently can play with Varsity teams.

rice and jarvis played very good game of basketball but it was hawkins.brewer, and crowe who did the most b/c they dumped the ball off to rice and jarvis and pulled down some rebounds and acouple of baskets.

The only reason it went into overtime was because Powell got comfortable and started slacking off. Powell had a 16 point lead in the 3rd quarter also one of thier best players Jon Conley was outand from what I saw nobody on cumberland could have even come close to stoping him.
