everybody got about equal timeing everyone probabaly saw at least or close to 16 min. 3 of the starters were tooken out in the 1st quater for a breather.

Ashley J., Brittany, and Michaela did not play that much time total. The Lady Hornets were playing freshman in the first quater and the JV played 2-4 quaters, with the 1 or 2 starters being in at different times, the Lady Hornets quit pressing midway through the 2nd quarter.

We had 54 at halftime, and everybody scored and correct me if i'm wrong, but played 10+ minutes.

I dont believe in beating teams like that. It shows no class at all. Dominant teams should show a little more respect for teams and not try to make them look bad. But its ok, because it will come back to magoffin next season, they lose their best players after this year and im sure they will get beat like this a few times theirself next year. I wasn't there to watch the game. Did Magoffin press the entire game? Did they play their starters most of the game? You can't expect teams to just stand around. If you are playing your bench and you are not pressing than as a coach you are doing what you should to keep the score respectable. If that is not the case, then you have a right to be upset.

Magoffin quit pressing the first half, and played the bench for the majority of the game, I was there. The fact and the matter is East Ridge quit after the first quater, even after Magoffin quit pressing thay still through the ball away.

You just had to be there to see that everyone had equal minutes, and East Ridge came into the game knowing thay would get killed, if we would have let the jv play the entire game, in my opinion that would be insulting to East Ridge.
And truthfully East Ridge did not act like thay were even wanted to play.

the MC bench was rotated thw whole time and beleving that ER quit they did they couldnt even dribble the ball down the quart without walking with it

As for next season, I think it is quite obvious that Magoffin's talent will be no where near its level this year. However, I do believe they can win several games and may do some damage in the region. Let's remember that we are talking about the 15th region here. As for the East Ridge game, I say congrats on scoring 100 points. I mean honestly, the debate over whether or not a team should run up the score is way overrated. Who really cares? Just let them play the game and don't worry how many a team loses by. I just think its obsurd that people complain about a team beating up on another team. This is competitive sports we are talking about here, not pre-school. If you can't handle the agony of defeat, maybe its time you find another passtime.

Magoffin played their bench early and often in this game. If the bench is playing, what else you suppose to do. Not shoot the ball, just throw it to the opposing team or kick it out of bounds?
BTW, a lot of people probably don't remember a few years back when teams were beating the Lady Hornets by 50 + points and still pressing.

If you're not playing your starters and not pressing, then there's nothing else you can do. People need to get over it. If your team is that bad, then they're that bad, they just need to practice a lot harder and not whine about it. No team is going to completely stop playing defense and not shoot the ball. Besides, this was good experience for MCs younger girls who do not get to play in varsity games very often because of the tough schedule they play.

You could have been there to see for yourself, however you decided to stay home, then get on here and post like you know what you are talking about.
You may say that the score was ran up but it wasn't! had Coach wanted to he could have scored 120 points.
He let every player on that was dressed play in the game and all of them scored. He could have held the ball for two (2) quarters and not taken shots and still have won the game.

I just wanted to add something else to this. Out of the 160 minutes possible during a regulation High School game, 88.0 of them was played by Magoffin's starters, 72.0 of them by non-starters, which are all Freshman and Sophmore.
So this means that the starters played 55% of the game and the non starters played 45% of the game. See it believe it I don't care either way UKGIRL20.

The only person that i can see that will deserve a shot at taking over one day as a head coach resides in paintsville. You may know him as J.R. Vanhoose. He knows the game and im sure would be a great selection to replace Runyon when he decides to retire. I know this post will be bashed, and for countless reasons, especially the going off topic for a bit, but i dont care.

Even with the current explanation, and whether or not it is true, I'am going to say this. It makes me angry, that someone would make fun, or whatever you would call it, of someone because they come from a certain area or school as in this case. If your going to critique, or in your case make fun of Magoffin and anyone else for grammar and spelling, I must say don't until you correct your own ignorance in the subject. For example it is technically, abiding by rules in the english language, You not u or ya. And also learn to capitalize what needs to be capitalized! This is a forum about sports, not a leasure board for you to make fun of a school because you think its classrooms are unworthy of your hypocritical standard. But since we are on the subject, and I think I will make a point of information to you, I attended Magoffin attained an overall 28 on my ACT, received scholarships from Georgetown, Xavier, Morehead, and Kentucky. My current college GPA is a 3.89, and thats not from General Education Classes. I think this would state a precedent about Magoffin County School Sytems. Also, I know of plenty more that have achieved equal and greater. This is not to the actual owner, if the account was used without permission.
Now since I'm done ranting, and stated my point on that subject. I don't believe it to be distasteful to have a score like the one from this game. For one, players who rarely see minutes in a game, or points for that matter, saw quite a few on both. Second, I believe it would be far more insulting to the team to just sit back and show that you are going to let them down easily. Atleast, if you do keep playing it would get the losing team more experience in tough situations and therefor making them into a far better team and perhap unify them further. For example, look at the score for the East Ridge - Shelby Valley game. They showed more heart, and from the looks of it gave them a good game. Unless taking into consideration Shelby Valley took it easy on them, which I don't beleive to be the case. It was a pretty high scoring game on both sides. But Congrats to Magoffin, and good luck to East Ridge in the future. Keep looking up and build on this game, hope to see some fire in your eyes come Tournament Time.
