Just wondering what his plans are going to be in the fall? Who is continuing to pursue him and where do you look for him to play football at?

I talked to him the other day actually, he said Marshall and Cincinnati were on his mind at the time... Could have changed?

I heard Eastern Ketucky as well.

UK may have jumped into the mix but at this point has not offered a scholarship.

I hear no full scholarships have been offered, only preferred walk-on status. If true, what a shame. Kasey is a great competitor a great athelete and a mature kid. Hope he gets a legit offer for a full ride because he deserves it as much as anyone.

Cincy
Illinois
Arkansas
Marshall
UK
Penn State
Eastern Ky

With Marshall loosing some RB's he could make a hit there. Uk as most kids dream of playing for growing up, (If you are a die Hard Ky Football Fan) would be great...
I hope that where he goes he can use his talent for great things.

I thought EKU had offered a scholarship. I'm not sure about UC or Marshall. UK, UofL and the likes are interested as a walk on. Ref Devil should be able to clear this up.

Well, it seems as though things are changing from day to day. All of the schools listed above have offered at least a preferred walk-on. Some still have scholarships available and Cincy and Marshall seems to be the most interested. Cincy's old staff took all of their recruiting stuff with him to Michigan State, we have been in contact with their new staff and they seem interested. Several OVC schools have contacted him but most thought he was out of their league so they didn't try earlier. Kasey and Josh Wills are visiting Georgetown next week but I think Kasey wants to play D-1. Hopefully by next week we'll now something. I shall keep ya'll posted.

It's not a reliable source. He hasn't made a decision to do anything yet, he still in the midst of the recruitment process. He's still looking at all his options. Hopefuly we'll know more about the direction he's leaning to by next week. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.

yes kasey is good enough...hes is a great rb and deserves a scholarship from any of these d-1 schools

I don't think he would have much of an impact at an SEC powerhouse. But at a smaller D1 or 1AA he would be very good. I know EKU was very high on him as well as UC. Evidently neither panned out.

UC is still very interested. He will hear something on Monday or Tuesday from them. Even if they don't offer before the signing period, there will be offers after that. If Kasey were to put on some weight he could play at any SEC school except maybe Florida because he's not the type of player they go after. Everyone seems to think that if he doesn't commit by today that his chances of D1 are over, that's not the case. Scholarships come availible after the signing period for various reasons.

I didn't intend for that to sound as if there was no chance. Perhaps the use of the word "yet" would have been appropriate.

Clark is a great player i think he could make a difference in a sec school... not a big difference but a noticable impact... but if a player like him could not make it to D-1 i guess that ruins my dreams... lol

Oh I know, I know that you'd like nothing more than to see Kasey play where he wants. I didn't mean to sound snappy, I'm just disgusted at a few people on another(not so great, no where near as good,LOL!!!) website who are doubting Kasey's abilities to play. They see him play once a year and think they know what he can and can't do. I guess they're just jealous, I'm not really sure. You would think they would be rooting him on because he's from the area but that's not the case with some people.

i've seen him play first hand, and he's pretty good. i'm actually surprised that EKU only offered preferred walk-on. i would've thought they'd give him a full ride EASILY. but that's college ball for ya'.

No, not yet. He went to visit a couple places today but that's it. I'll fill everyone in when he makes his decision.

I would have to question Murray State unless he wants to try and go somewhere to help a down team. The Racers finished 1-10 last year. Also Murray has already posted their 07 recruiting class so I must also question a scholarship.

I know he visited Murray, As well as Georgetown and some others. It is my understanding that NO decision has been made as of yet.

Murray like most schools has announced their signees for 2007. That does not mean they are finished. Recruiting never ends.

he is really set on murray. he thinks theyre gonna be a top contender in the ovc in the next couple of years. murray is number 1 on his list right now. trust me on this one fball. and georgeown is out of the question. the only reason he went is because josh wills wanted him to gow with him. he has no intensions on attending georgetown.

He has not signed with anyone yet. Murray State is on his list of schools but he has not decided anything just yet. He is still keeping his options open until he makes a decision. He still has schools talking with him and we'll see where the offers come from. After that, he will make a decision but it probably won't be for a couple to few weeks. Murray State is on his list of final schools though and he did visit with them this past week at Murray. He really liked the school and coaches and thus are considering them but he has NOT made a decision yet.

I would say that more than likely Kasey will play at an OVC school in Div1 AA and probably will get lots of PT and if he works hard and makes the grades he could become a College All American. But it will take 4 years of serious dedication.

Jeff went through the same stuff. Got offers to walk on at Penn State, Marshall, and others. Wound up at Morehead with a full ride. Became All American. Got an education.

Good luck Kasey, be patient get the best education you can.

Maybe some day we'll see you on the sidelines at Russell again.
