If I were to rank the region it would be like this.

1. Magoffin Co. -Very nice team
2. Belfry- Played Magoffin very close and has beat alot of very good ball teams.
3. Pike Central - IMO the most talented team in the region.
4a. Shelby Valley- They are pretty good, a lil overrated at times maybe, but good.
4b. Johnson Central-Have some very impressive games and is a godo team.
6. Lawrence County- Havent seen them play but heard good things.
7. Paintsville- All A Champs
8. Sheldon Clark- Obviously them and Paintsville are close.
9. Betsy Layne
10. Prestonburg
11. Pikeville
12. East Ridge
13. South Floyd
14. Phelps
15. Allen Central
I feel that the top 5 teams all have a very good chance at winnig this thing. It is all going to come down to who gets hot and the draw. I mean a 1 seed is going to possibaly have a team like Pike Central or Belfry in the 1st round, talking about intense. The draw will be huge in the regional this year.

good point belfry and i like your rankings...if we look at the draw last season Pike Central got a good draw while Belfry did not...Switch those two in the brackets and Belfy would have bene in the finals while more than likely PC would have been sitting in the stands..

IMO Magoffin and Johnson Central will play in the 15th regional championship. IMO these two teams have the most talent in the region and match up well against anyone in the region. Johnson Central beat Pike Central and Belfry. Magoffin ran through Valley, beat Belfry, and on any other night would have beaten Pike Central who was just on fire that night. This is just my opinion.

Nope not what i am saying,right team won but nobody ran thru anyone from what i saw.Both teams struggled pretty much all night.Defense was good,but i feel MC didn't play to their ability,nor did SV

Here is what I mean twoard the statement of PC bein more talented than MC. I think they are as in terms of natural God given ability. But Magoffin County girls are talented very talented, but most of these girls are hard nosed girls that have worked really hard to get were they are. So please Magoffin dont take it as a dis to your girls, because they are a great group of girls and work as hard as anyone in the region.

Yeah I would rank Belfry higher a little bit and Im not one that criticises Valley cause they are good.Belfry has layed Magoffin close, defeated Mason County, who was ranked in top 25 at begining of year, defeated one of the top teams in WV in Tolsia, who is very good, and also beat Russell who was undefeated and ranked.
Magoffin is Magoffin, those girls have really got it going there.

All the teams have played good competition! but i see your point! if i thought that sv hadn't played teams like belfry and the rest had i wouldn't have said that!
But i do feel that this region has alot of excellent teams and i'm not saying that they aren't but sv is always being put down because of some kind of excuse and i don't see why! they are not overrated! well they aren't in my opinion!
