Has anyone ever heard of him? He has alot of excellent songs, but isnt heard of around the country or the world. He is actually one of my all time favorites and his lyrics are real life, he pretty much lived most of his songs and it calls for some awesome music, and hes from a small mining town called Slaughters Ky. J/w if anyone has ever heard of him. Hes awesome!

Down the river is a killer song!
But none beat hard candy! Here I'll post the lyrics-
Her hair was as black as Pike County coalHer lips were as red as blood on the snowShe wore short vinyl skirts and them boots to her kneesAnd she lived in the holler across the mountain from meChorusHard candy so sweetI could never get enoughHard candy so easy for me to loveWild horses couldn't keep her old man outta jailFrom bootlegging whiskey his sons helped him sellAnd growing up in that holler wasn't nothing but hotFightin' roosters and kerr dogs tied up in the yardChorusOne night on the mountain back in the pine treesCandy let down her guard and said she loved meWe left the holler when her old man got put back in jailAnd she told all her brothers to go straight to hellChorusReminds me so much of home!

I love Chris Knight. I been listenin to his music for about 2 years now I guess, he is great, I actually had one of his song on my MySpace profile forever when I first got it. He's a Kentucky boy, from down around Bowlin Green I think, whereever Slaughters, KY is. I was gonna go see him in Lexington at the Lexington Music Hall on Dec. 30th but one my buddies got married that evenin. But yeah, Chris Knight is awesome.

The sweet thing is that he is so proud of where he's from. He was a federal mine inspector and I thought he was from Hazard? Check out these videos-
