Gary Stewart was my 2nd cousin!
Really I met him twice and a buddy of mine jammed with him at Marlows a couple of times, went and saw him at the Jenkins festival last time he played it.
And for a bout a 20 year period I drank with him just about every weekend,
I still have his 33/3 OUT OF HAND album. I think its the best country album of all time.

They never shipped coke, they may have snorted it off a stripper, or hauled around say 213 lbs of pot. My boys were celebrating all those superbowls they just got a little carried away, sometimes by the cops, but whos counting.
LOL

It cracks me up when one fan starts bashing another team, it doesn't take much looking when it comes to the NFL to find something that isn't to pleasant in the old locker room.
There are good guys and bad guys on all the teams, **** I loved the redskins when George Allen coached them, they were second only to my boys. I really liked Sonny Jurgeson, and then the guy before Theisman, whose nickname was "furnace face" Billy Kilmer. I began to dislike them when they benched Kilmer, and got rid of Allen.
and how about Pat Fischer what a guy, loved watching him play, he use to drill harold Carmicheal everytime they played the eagles.
but I did like Riggins, He was cool on the sidelines with Broadway Joe in his Mohawk when he was with Jets.

I am just kidding with ya Doc...I mean in all reality, how can any fan bash any team anymore unless you are a Bengals fan. All of our teams have had there moments. I guess I can say I am just a fan of football in general!

when he was at Jenkins Days in '99, he stayed at my mom and dads house for a night. His daughter Shannon was there too...I hadnt seen him since I was a kid, and he remembered everything about me and Playboy growing up. It was so cool talking with him about singing all those honkeytonks, and his bust in '77..My personal favorite song of his was Rainin Rainin Rainin..but thats cool you knew him Doc, he was our cousin, and although he sang how he lived, he was definitely a character. Really I met him twice and a buddy of mine jammed with him at Marlows a couple of times, went and saw him at the Jenkins festival last time he played it.

I really wish that I would have known him, It was just a brief introduction thru my buddy, and I had no idea he was going to be at the Jenkins day I was headed torward Wise, when i got to Jenkins and found out what was going own I went no farther.
Back in the day, I would liten to Out of Hand for hours while sipping on my Jim beam and Mt. Dew.
I still listen to his cd's but I quit going to the MT. with my buddy JIM.
Well unless Im celebrating the day my ex started acting single, thats the one day that I have a couple of doubles.

Well I can't sing or write the songs but I sure as **** lived the life, his music, fortold my future in to many ways.
And it's a lonely thing
But it's the only thing
To keep a foolish man in love
Hangin' on ...
I've got this drinkin' thing
To keep from thinkin' things
About where you've been
Who you've been with
What you've done...
I've seen men look at before
And they think, I don't see them
I'd like to think it makes me proud
But, I'm only.. fooling me
I know she'll be lookin' back
The minute I'm not there
While she pours herself on some stranger
I pour myself a drink somewhere
She's acting single
I'm drinking double
I hide my pain
I drown my troubles
My heart is breaking
Like the tiny bubbles
She's acting single
I'm drinking doubles
I know all she plans to do
But I don't know where or when
If I ask who that stranger was
She'll just say, "an old friend"
I'm not weak, I tell myself
I stay because I'm strong
The truth is, I'm not man enough
To stop her from doing me wrong
She's acting single
I'm drinking doubles
I hide my pain
I drown my troubles
My heart is breaking
Like the tiny bubbles
She's acting single
I'm drinking doubles
She's acting single
I'm drinking doubles
I hide my pain
I drown my troubles
Whiskey trip and shes acting single
2 storys i could have been in the videos

Speaking of Jenkins. I had someone from there call me the other day and want me to come measue a house. That is a bit far for me to drive to work. About 130-140 miles from here.
