They may very well! But you have to hand it to Scott Co.

Interesting to note: Even though OJ went 12 of 30 and Michael Taylor went 0 for 10, HH still shot 42.6% for the game compared to Scott Co.'s 35.6%.

But Scott Co. shoots 35% from 3 point land compared with HH's 9.52%.

Hats off to Scott for hanging in there and coming up with the win!!

And I want them to do great, but when it comes between WV & KY.. i'm going to be KY all the way.. Great game by Scott, you could definately tell they were ready for this one, as Huntington seemed to be going through the motions. OJ is a great player but needs to learn to take higher percentage shots. He is so good off the dribble that he shouldn't be shooting contested jumpers all game. Credit to Scott's defense though, the didn't give him many good looks, as they were ready for the challenge. I thought Patterson was a beast on the inside, however the team does not use him like they should. I feel that if they played an inside out game, they could very well be the #1 team in the nation-- but tonight they were not, and it showed. Good game Scott!

I don't agree that HH's recent troubles had ANYTHING to do with this loss. Their troubles didn't hurt them against Artisia. HH just got taken out of their game by SC, ended up getting out hustled and then couldn't hit any 3's. HH shot around 42% to SC's 35%, which isn't bad. But HH only shot 9% from 3 point range, while SC hit 35% from 3 point range. And for whatever reason, OJ (who shot well within the arc 12 of 30 total FG%) couldn't buy a 3 (2 of 11) and shot way too many of them as well. It didn't help HH for Michael Taylor to go 0-10 FG (0-5 3 point shooting). HH outrebounded SC but had many more TO's.

To sum up the game IMO, HH relied way too much on OJ and OJ and a couple of other players just didn't shoot well or put out the effort that SC did. That is the way it went and that is why they lost.

I agree with that. Even if Mayo is suspended the next game, I still say HH will win by double digits next time. Anybody that watched the game could tell HH was just worn down and played awful.
