This will probably be the wildest atmosphere ever for a game in Rupp Arena. I assume the attendance record will be broken, and the crowd will be louder than ever. I'm not too optimistic about the ending of the game though, as I think Florida is just too much but if Bradley comes to play Kentucky has a good chance. If not it could get ugly.

I really hope my Wildcats can pull this one out. It would be a great game to win and show everyone what UK basketball has been, and always will be about. Rupp will explode and as long as the fans stay in this game, I don't think Florida can handle it. A great team, dont get me wrong. I just love seeing my Cats win.

Florida is by far the BEST team in the nation. The #2 team, whomever it may be during a given week, doesn't even come close. Rupp Arena will be rockin' come Saturday, we all agree on that. When Kentucky plays "team ball," they can be pretty impressive. Meeks has really come on strong lately, and Thomas hasn't played all too badly either. Florida, IMO, is just too big and too talented all around. I saw a game clip, and all Joakim Noah did was throw his arms in the air, and 3 defenders surrounded him, and it left Humphrey open on the wing. That's the kind of effect every Florida player has on the other team. They're too "powerful" in every aspect. They're not immortal, but no team in the country comes close. I'm as big a UK fan as anyone else on here, and I'd love to see the Cats win, too. But honestly, it's hard to go against the Gators right now, even if the game is in Lexington.

I doubt it. The wildest and loudest I have seen was early in the Pitino era. Pitino's first year when a bunch of nobodys beat Shaq's LSU squad was the loudest and wildest I have ever seen Rupp. Maybe in a tie or at least second was the following season when the Unforgettables routed Kansas a year after Kansas beat them by fifty. Those two games are by far the craziest and loudest ever at Rupp.
I'm sure this crowd will be big a pumped up. But I don't think you can top the emotion in those two games. I have seen them play Arkansas when Arkansas was #1 in the mid 90s. I was 5 rows behind the bench for senior day when the Unforgettables beat Tenn. Nothing I have seen at Rupp since can compare to those LSU and Kansas games.
If Bradley and Crawford both decide to play on the same night, the Cats MIGHT come home with a win.
Trust me, i'm as anti-Florida as they come, but it's going to be difficult to pull this one out.

I guess we'll see Saturday. I think the wildest game so far at Rupp ever was the Florida game in 2003 and a lot of people would agree. Record attendance that game, plus the #1 team in the country. Plus a blowout win.
I know it was wild in the games you mentioned, but with Florida being #1, College Gameday being there, and this game being prime time on a Saturday Night. Not to mention the white out that will take place. This one could be something special.
The games you mentioned were as follows on attendance.
LSU 1990 - 23rd all time attendance
Kansas - Not in top 40 attendance at Rupp history
Kentucky played Arkansas 3 times at Rupp in the mid 90's. (1992, 1994, 1996) They rank 5,11,and 14 in all time attendance at Rupp, and Kentucky's only win in those 3 games was in 1996, and Arkansas wasn't ranked. I doubt the two losses were that wild.
The Tennessee game you mentioned was 6th all time, but even the Tennessee game this season was 17th all time.
The ticket prices over on ebay tells how bad people want in for this game.
If Kentucky isn't in the game it may not be close to the best, but Florida is the defending national champ and #1 so if Kentucky plays them well or wins no doubt it will be the best ever.

i dont believe florida is the best team by far ucla or wisconsin could beat them on any given night. if the cats show up ready to play they can shut them down especially noah if randolph plays like he did when he shut Tyler Hansborough down then we can do this its not impossible, but i guarantee the house will be a rockin in rupp BABY!!!!

I was at that game, and I have to agree with you.
At the time, Matt Walshs girlfriend was a porn star, and when he ran out, the "eruption zone" threw pictures of his girlfriend at him.
That's also where the chant "Walsh is gay" started at.
The referee's were AWFUL in that game. Kept Florida in it.

I was at the LSU game and it was crazy!! Shaq was there but Chris Jackson was the show for LSU. I think he put up 40+.
I was also on the floor(had a press pass for a couple of years)at the Arkansas game you are refering to. It was another great atmosphere, we lost though. Was rolling until Rod Rhodes got a T for excessive celebration(horrible call).

Bilas is the best analyst on TV. No reason to bash him just because he picked FU over Kentucky and because he's a Dookie. He was just being honest. FU is the better team and will come out the winner. Bilas knows what he's taking about.
Saying Noah won't be a factor is just plain silly... He dominated last 4 games he's played against UK and tonight will be no different. I can easily see Noah lighting up UK for 20.....or even more for that matter.
