If they play it. I think Shelby Valley wins 5-6 if Bryant doesn't play or is limited. If he plays full strength I say Valley by 10

Per SVHS and PHS officials, the Pikeville at Shelby Valley game has been moved to Thursday February 15th..730pm.
The 1982 Virgie Eagles will be honored at this game.

That looks like a bad day for Pikeville. It will make them have 4 games in 5 days including one long road trip. Hope the boys get plenty of rest.

Feb. 13th East Ridge
Feb. 15th @ Shelby Valley
Feb. 16th Ashland
Feb. 17th @ Raceland

4 games in 5 days, then they get a 3 day break from games only to play 3 more on the 20th, 22nd, and 23rd. Then comes tourney time. I still think it is going to be busy week. from the 13th to the 23rd will be 7 games.

So the winner of the Shelby Valley/Pikeville game should be the number 1 seed in the 59th. If Pikeville wins, both Pikeville and Shelby Valley will have 1 district loss and Pikeville would have won the second game making them the 1 seed. Boys, if you wanna see some action, come to this game, the Blue Crew is gonna be as crazy as they've ever been. After the incident that happend at Pikeville when a few people told the crowd if they didn't move police would escort them out, the Valley crowd is ready to bring it this game, hope you can hear the person next to you Thursday night.

Yeah it's highschool. People have fun, you do funny things, you ever see someone wear a costume to a game? We do it all the time and it sure aint Halloween. Well, you probbly havent seen it, noone in EKY really has a good crowd at games but like Valley, Paintsville and Hazard.

As much as Shelby Valleys coaching staff has scouted Pikeville the last few weeks, they must not think Pikeville is so lame.

One way of looking at it is, Pikeville has nothing to lose. Shelby Valley is the favorite to win this game considering how many home games they have won in a row. Also the fact that they already beat Pikeville once this year. Shelby Valley is the number 1 team in the 15th and the 59th now, all Shelby Valley can do now is go down in rankings. If Shelby Valley wins, not much will be said because they are the favorite to win and they should win it.

Pikeville on the other hand are the underdogs. No one is expecting them to win this game. No one other than the Pikeville players and coaches gives them much of a chance. But the fact is, all this game could do is just move Pikeville up one notch in the 59th district seating. From number 2 to number 1. If Pikeville wins, will it be said that Shelby Valley choked or Pikeville over played themselfs?

I thought the Globetrotters beat everyone by as many as the freshman wanted. Seems like a team as great as SV wouldn't need to scout a 15th region opponent. I figured they would scout Lexington and Louisville competition since they can't beat them.

Here is where you have lost me. I don't care if you're in the NFL and are the superbowl champion Colts, if you're playing the freakin worst team in the league, you still scout them, you have every tape they have played, you have anything about them. Buddy you need to learn some things about sports.

Remember the last time they played Shelby Valley beat them by only 13 points. I have also seen Coach Booher and Coach Newsome at quite a few games Pikeville has played recently. I just think the coaches and players are taking this game more seriously than some of the fans are. After all, Shelby Valley has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Pikeville has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Maybe they are feeling a little pressure or something.

That's not exactly a true statement. Both team have something to gain... a trip to the regional tournament. The winner of this game is same as guaranteed a spot in the regional tournament, while the loser has to play East Ridge for that opportunity. And as Pikeville proved this week, playing East Ridge is not a guaranteed win... :Thumbs:

Lets see, Shelby Valley is 9-0 in the region, Pikeville is 8-4. Shelby Valley is ranked number 1 in the region, Pikeville is ranked number 4. Shelby Valley already beat Pikeville by 13 on their home court. Shelby Valley hasnt lost a game at home in what, 3 or 4 years.

If Shelby Valley wins, they will remain the number 1 team in the 15th, their home court win streak extends for another year. Shelby Valley will just about guaranteed a trip to the regions. Shelby Vally will still be unbeaten in the region going into the districts and regional tourneys.

But if Pikeville wins, which they are not expected to do. Then Shelby Valley will be the number 2 team in the region behind Paintsville. Pikeville will pretty much be guaranteed a trip to the regions. Not to mention bragging rights as the only team to have beaten Shelby Valley on their home court in a very long time. As far as East Ridge being a guaranteed win, I agree with you, they are not. But I am sure if they did face up in the first round of the district tourney that Bart and company will settle for another 21 point win. East Ridge might have beaten Pikeville for so many games in a row, but they havent beaten them while Bart has been the coach at Pikeville.
