New Coach, Loads of Seniors finally got a feild anyone think they have a chance to be an upset team in the 58th

We will be a lot better then recent years I think. Returning pitcher Scott Allen is back. Along with a lot of seniors this year. Andrew Lafferty is a great catcher. Fast shortstop Ryan Johnson is back. T.J Hall is back on 1st.
Justin Slone is back at center field, he's one of the best juniors in the 15th.Jonathan Hall is on 3rd.

New Coach will help bring on new life. The guy they had last year acted as if he was on his last legs. They will go as far as Scott Devin Allen can take them with his arm. They pitched him way to much and he bacame tired. South Floyd has potential to be fairly good and also they will have a field this year which they did not have last year. Pretty tough to try and play with no home field for play or practice. Good luck to the Raiders and their first year coach.

well they will be better then last year, if they want to be there a lot of games i watched last year they seem to go through the motions and not listen to the coaching staff which had a lot of success in 99,00,01,02 back when i played. If they want it they have the potential but need to work hard and play even harder. good luck and win the district. justin is a great centerfielder and needs to step up and play like he is able to. quit smiling and play.

As A player from a different school im not throwing off on the raiders but have really gone through the motions the past few years IMO. The Allen kid has to put this team on his back and carry them if they want to have a shot in this tough district. He doesn't have an offspeed pitch tho should work on one before the season starts

TJ Hall wasnt starting 1st baseman yesterday. it was still undecided between him and Kevin Wright. and its Johnathan Mullins on 3rd not hall. But your right about 1 thing. Scott Devin Allen will have to lead if he wants to win this year.

Today South Floyd beat June Buchanan 11-1 skunk. Last year JB beat SF 12-2. Justin Slone started pitcher for the raiders and allowed one run in 4 innings. In the 5th inning Senior Scott Devon Allen took over the game. In 3 innings he allowed no runs, no walks, and no hits. He only pitched 4 balls outside the strike zone. If Scotty D can take over like he did today, SF should be a tough team this year, they had their bats going today. Ryan Johnson didn't play today. Scott Devon started at shortstop.

I heard that the coaches that hosted the scrimmage were pretty upset with SF's performance, it was told to the participating coaches by the hosting coach that this was a scrimmage and that all players on the team should get on the field and get to bat, and i heard SF took about 20 players and only played 10?

I think that South Floyd did a good job in that game and I don't blame them I would want to win too. Only reason they took out players is because ( justin Slone) and (Scott Allen) hit the batters if it wasn't for that they would not have taken them out.

Haha..Yeah I'd actually say something when they're saying they are a top 3 team in the region..You don't see me saying that about Shelby Valley....Let's see...Last year Shelby Valley went 14-13, and South Floyd went like 3-17....So yeah I'd actually say something about another baseball team even when Im for Shelby Valley because they're a tad better than South Floyd last time I checked....

All joking aside you would think a school as big as Valley and with the great facility there at the school that they would produce competitive teams in their District. Well actually the basketball team did win the All A regional and a game in the state, the football team was in the playoffs and the golf team had a player that qualified and played in the state Tournament in Bowling Green. Definitely not saying they are the best in everything but they are far from the bottom. Baseball this year will be better than in the past couple of years and they have a chance to prove it. I don't know if any of the players are stating things on here about what they intend on doing this year but if they are then maybe should wait and see how the season starts out after a few weeks. I always heard if you were good enough people would know it and you wouldn't have to brag on yourself. That's a fact.
