15th Region Championship and Winner

Most of the girls district tournaments are now completed, so lets hear opinions on who will make it to the big game, and who will take home the hardware.

I think it will be Magoffin and Pike central, but Shelby valley could easily be in there, and i think magoffin will be the champions.

Lady Hawks are rolling. Looks like the Hornets just showed that they are not going to blow everyone out every night, P-ville almost beat them. PC has already beat them earlier in the year. I am going with PC.

Magoffin has also beat Pville earlier in the season...2 times as a matter of fact. Pville came ready to play and I look for them to make some noise in the region.

If Valley draws Pville or Belfry they won't make it to the semi's. PC and MC are the best two teams and if the draw puts them in 2 different brackets then they will play in the finals.

i am hoping to see a re-match of the 2006 final and the 2005 first round game...both MC and PC have beat one another and each have beat the same teams...it would only be fair enough to see which one truly does tower over the rest...

The Lady Hornets may not blow everyone out every night and yes Pville gave them a heck of a game last night. However, they had a bad game and missed 21 free throws! PC did beat Magoffin early in the season, but Magoffin beat PC later in the season without Haley and without Ashley Jade ( both were out due to injuries). I'd say a repeat of last year's regional is what it will come down to. GO LADY HORNETS!!!!! The DYNAMIC TRIO WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO DIDDLE!!!!!:1:

If memory serves me correct, Valley was beat by MAGOFFIN by 15 points on Jan. 15th 2007 and this was the only time these two teams have meet this season. As far as Valley and Magoffin in the finals go, that is a good possibility. Its tournament time, its a good possibility that any of the eight teams in the regional tournament will play in the finals. However, I will wait until the regional draw to see the brackets before I will make my predictions.

If MC and PC are in seperate brackets, it will be a rematch of last years champ game. This year I honestly believe that Pike Central will take it home. They have a great starting 5 with experience on the bench.

Thank you so much for saving me the trouble of saying the same! As far as my opinion on the region, I think that PC vs. MC for the championship with PC coming out on top in a very close game. PC is playing the best basketball in the region as of right now and their starters got a little extra rest last night.

Why even post this???? Butcher says this all the time - he DOES believe this and he says it to his team to MOTIVATE them. I think if I were a Lady Hawk I would want my coach to have the belief and confidence in me as he does in his players right now. By the way, when they DO have a good night and PLAY like they know how to play - I agree with Butcher! They are the BEST team with the BEST players. ;)

yes they are freshmen this year and have matured a lot while the MC girls were alredy mature.
