was pikeville the last team in this region to when the state championship

I think it was Paintsville, but i am not completely sure...

According to the KHSAA, Pikeville has never won a state championship.....Paintsville won it 1990 and even Prestonsburg has one in 1948 which is something I didn't expect to see....

Pikeville never has won a state championship...and yes Pinatsville did back in 90

wow....i just asumed they had won one considering they have had the best baseball program in the 15th for the past 10 years

I don't think that Pikeville has ever advanced to the final four. They advanced to the Elite 8 in 98, 99 and once in the early 90s. Pikeville has representd the 15th region well in the years they have advanced to the sectional tournament but have never been able to get over the hump of the sectional championship. I do believe that they had the team in 1999 to advance to the final four and make some noise there, but they came up short in the sectional championship.

No...the best chance they had for a long time was in 1999 and they were one pitcher short of winning state that year. Pikeville will not field a team nearly that good for a long time and I know what the program has coming up. I see some regional titles coming up but that is about it.
