The University of Minnesota will name Tubby Smith as its 16th head men's basketball coach at a news conference tomorrow, Friday, March 23 at noon at Williams Arena. The news conference will be open to the public with seating available in the lower level for fans to view the news conference. The news conference will also be carried live on gophersports.com

He seemed happy in the news conference and said he was ready for a fresh start and to bring some new life into the Minnesota program. I hope he is very successful up there.
