Valley pitched freshman Dillon Hughes. Matewan got 4 on Hughes in the 1st but he settled in and only gave up 2 runs. Valley drops to 2 and 11. Valley seems to be having a hard time getting over the hump with 5 or 6 of the loses by a combined 11 runs. Keep your head up Valley and good things will happen.

This isn't a bad L though, I doubt Matewan pitched an ace, but they are a good team, they have a kid called Brandon O'Brien who has one of best swings I have ever seen at the high school level.

Matewan is usually pretty good. Pikeville handed them a bad loss earlier this year but they came back to beat them later on. I know they always had some good arms when we used to play them.
