I finally went and saw this one today. The movie is definitely too long, but it was very entertaining.
There's also a pretty neat cameo by Keith Richards, lol.

What did everyone else think?

Also, word is that currently Spiderman 3 is holding this summers box office record with $151 million in the first week. Pirates, according to my most recent numbers has raked in $126 million so far.

Agreed that it is totally too long. It's good, but just wasn't able to hold my attention the entire time. I preferred Spiderman 3 a lot more than Pirates 3.

I haven't watched a single Pirates of the Caribbean movie and this one is no exception. I don't imagine it to be something that would interest me. Buuuut the movie wars this summer will definitely be wild. Lots of huge hits to be released.

One of my friends has one of the movies on DVD at least so I may try to watch it sometime just to see what the fuss is about.

Transformers will be nowhere in the league of any of these movies, IMO. I saw the trailer and honestly it doesn't look that good. No use in trying to bring them back.

I don't think Die Hard will compete either. Part of it's problem will be an 'R' rating keeping people from seeing it.

I'm more excited for The Bourne Ultimatum, Rush Hour 3 and Hostel 2 than Transformers or Die Hard

The word from producer Jerry Bruckheimer was that "Pirates of the Caribbean was meant to be and will be a Trilogy."

Barbossa and Sparrow could fight over the pearl or Orlando Hudsons character could do somthing with the flying dutchman. I'm sure they'll come up with somthing.
