Letcher Central is a 5A team.

Ashland, Johnson Central- i think- OOOHH I Nknow MERCER is a 5A school this year, just a small jump from 2A last year. I had to guys just had too..... I dont thik they will be able to compete with the 5A school sthis year.... Who else is 5A, Rockcastle and all those teams in Ashlands district I know but cant remember them. I dont think Ashland will win their distrct this year either.

Ashland has to make up for a lot of losses on both sides of the ball.

Johnson Central - District 6
Southwestern - District 7
Lincoln County - District 7
Mercer County - District 7
Pulaski County - District 7
South Laurel - District 7
Clay County - District 8
Perry County Central - District 8
Whitley County - District 8
Letcher County Central - District 8
North Laurel - District 8

Those are the only teams that could even be roughly considered eastern in 5A under the new alignment. Rockcastle and Bell County are both in 4A this season for those of you wondering why they're absent from the list.

Johnson Central is the only team east of I-75 that could come within two scores of Highlands, Bowling Green, or Hopkinsville. Looks like the old 4-a to me.
