I was wanting to download some music, so I was wanting to know where you download yours from and some things about it. Thanks.

Not sure about Bearshare but I know that Limewire is illegal so you might want to deter from using that. If you have an email address from a College or University you might want to check out Ruckus.com and see if your school has an agreement to allow you to download through them. It is totally legal and only for college students.

I did hear that limewire was illegal so I wanted to stay away from that one. Some of the ones I've thought about downloading is Morpheus and Comet something???

Aren't you guys just asking for trouble admitting to using illegal ways to obtain copyrighted material?

Bearshare, Limewire, morpheus, anything of the like are illegal. If you are a student try Ruckus.com.

Anyone can download from iTunes, and that is what I suggest.

Posts concerning illegal activity will be deleted.

Keep in mind that about a month ago a woman was fined several thousands of dollars for music she downloaded illegally. She was using Limewire I'm pretty sure.

Support your musicians and pay for their music. It's how they make a living.

Here's a hint that will always keep you out of trouble.

If you're downloading it for free....it's probably illegal.

i use Limewire but had no idea it was illegal...but now i know!

I use Limewire Pro... It's the best.

Limewire isn't illegal. They sell Limewire Pro in stores or you can download the free version off of the Limewire website. I got the Pro version off of the internet for free. I can PM the link to you if you would like me to.

Yes, Limewire, the program itself is not illegal, however using it to upload or download copyright protected media - music, videos, images, software, without the copyright holder's consent is illegal because it is theft.
