As Lee Corso would say, "not so fast my friend!", the Hornets are a much improved team this year. It's been said on here that they have some good size and a renewed attitude in Magoffin County. The Hornets should be a tough and hard fought game for the 'Neers'.

They cancelled a JV game with us because they didn't want to take a chance on getting any 1 hurt. That tells me that they have to use a lot of JV players to start for the varsiity. We got to play a JV game against them at their place and, if not for a bunch of turnovers, pretty much manhandled them (26-20). Estill manhandled us. It doesn't look good my friend.
Personally, I would love to see our friends down the Parkway derail the engineers. Gonna be tough though.:yikes:

Who does MC have to stop all that? We knew where they were running and still couldn't stop it. There offense is not made to trick you. They tell you where there running and dare you to stop it. They pull Guard & Tackle & you got their FB, & another RB, plus that wingback....for goodness sakes, even their QB gets in on the blocking. The only way to stop them is to be stronger and more physical than them! That is why they whooped us (Powell Co.)

Look at this thread and you will notice that the people bashing Magoffin are not Estill fans. (There is one prediction that says Estill BIG by an EC fan) But other than that They appear to be Powell County fans. I beleive that Coach Jones and the Neers will not take them lightly, come prepared and play for the W. From all indications Magoffin is on the cusp of becoming a very good team and I think that the Engineers know that.

Magoffin's only problem that i feel may be a factor in this game is their pass coverage!!! If they can get that down then they will be a tough team to move the ball on!!

Well, Estill passes about once or twice per game...so don't think that's a factor. However, Estill, unless they are completely overmatched on the line (Breathitt Co.), will absolutely ram the ball right down your throat even when you know what's coming. I don't see MC slowing them down much.

Magoffin isn't a big team though someone posted that they was. The biggest person they have is Jordan Howard and he is at FB. This is one of the smallest Magoffin teams I have seen line wise.

The hornets have some speed though and I'm sure they could run over your "L33T" JV team let me bow down to you and your awesome freshman team :notworthy.

Old timer is a poster from Powell co. and as I stated above there were some powell people it seems wanting to give Magoffin some BB material. Nobody from Estill has said such a ridiculous thing about the fresh/jv team.

Estill will roll in this game! But one of the most impressive young men that I saw for MC was on the JV. I think he was #10. Tall lanky kid that played DE. He took a shot from our QB,(don't laugh....he can hit), and never even flinched. He got up, shook his head and made the next couple of tackles. Very tough! So EC will take this game but MC has a few kids that will hit.

Let me ASSURE you Oldtimer is not from Powell. The only win Morgan has is against Magoffin. That says enough! WHEN THE ENGINE STARTS ROLLING IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO STOP! I agree with whoever said we do not have backs as good as Belfry, that is not our game. We will use several backs and an offensive line and bang on people all night. One fluke game, Pineville. Schedule may not be tough, but check out the scores!
