South Floyd High School on Lockdown

Students at South Floyd High School have been under a lockdown order for about three hours now.

School officials found shell casings beside the school.

State police are searching the building and surrounding area.

At this point, they have not found any weapons.

This is the second time this week the school has been under a lockdown.

Police investigated a similar situation on Monday.

Just spoke with someone at the school. Classes are back to normal and things are fine. I'm waiting for more details though.

Apparently the casings were discovered inside the school. Several parents told me today that they felt it was simply a student bringing the empty casings to school from the first deer hunting weekend as a prank.

Sad.
