JB is a very tough place to play this early in the season. Remember they don't have football so they are in mid-season form already, plus they are very, very good!

It is VERY hard to walk into that gym and leave without getting beat by at least 30. JBS will play any team in that gym, but they dont want to travel to play top teams in the area on the road. I would love to see JBS schedule a game at Shelby Valley.

I think the fouls were 15-7 or something like that but there was a reason for that. JBS was pressing full and half court and BL either turned it over or made a quick shot so there werent that many fouls commited by JBS. Also, JBS offered alot of top teams in the area a 2 game series ( 1 game at JBS, 1 game at their place) but the teams declined. I agree that a JBS vs. Shelby Valley game would be somethin to watch. Good game for JBS, i think they showed that they have some depth this year, and good luck to JBS and Betsy Lane on their upcoming seasons.

JBS will continue to have some great teams in the future. AAU is helping out tremendously.

JBS played Bryan Station and Madison Central on the road in preseason. Tommorrow they play the #2 team in Class 5a from Georgia that has a ESPN top 50 player. In December they play Lexington Catholic, 5th/3rd tourney where they start out with Desalles/Lafayette winner and probably Mason Co in the second game and another top 20 team in the 3rd game. They then play the WYMT at Knott Central where they will play against some of the top teams from the area for 3 more games on the road. They play the All A at Perry Central and some more tough games also. So I guess your right that they only play easy teams on the road huh... Think about what you write....You have a habit of making yourself look silly...

well i like shelby valley and all but u gotta be crazy if u think valley will beat jbs. easy
JBS has a good team this year and will be hard to beat but it could be a kinda close game but no blowouts would take place to tell you the truth i hope this game happens i wanna see it

Who said that Valley would beat JBS easy? I couldn't see either team blowing the other out.
I do agree with some other posters on here, that would be an excellent game to see on a neutral court. You would probably have to give JBS a slight edge right now, but not by much.

All I ment is that JBS gets a ton of breaks in the Grady Nutt.

Where is the game against a top 20 team in the state that is scheduled against them at their gym? Maybe you should try to read before you talk about someone being silly.

No basically you are saying that they cheat.. Dont try to sugarcoat it.. Just say what you mean.. Not that anyone respects what you say anyway..Man you are in your own little world...

I was referring to them playing another top 20 team at some point in the 5th/3rd. I dont know what kind of schedule you want them to play but I think that at the end of the year they will without a doubt play the hardest schedule of any team in east ky. Winning is important of course but playing good competition is important also. If JBS is fortunate enough to make it to state in the ALL A or Sweet 16 then playing all those hard games on the road will help them. Also dont try to keep bringing Shelby Valley into this trying to start something between SV and JBS fans. I can tell you that JBS hopes for the best for Shelby Valley this year and highly respects their players and team. SV and JBS have many friends in common and Newsome,Justice and Hatfield were on the Blue Chip team with Cox,Short, and Collins on a team that went thru the camp undefeated. Some of them even went on vacation together this summer. These two teams like and respect each other and I am sure that if not playing each other they want nothing but success for each other...

It's kinda weird when JBS plays at Home the Fouls are doubled on the away team. Am I the only one to notice that??

As far as your other point goes. Maybe the top teams in the area or state doesnt want to go to JBS and play because the know about the home court advantage and they would have everything to lose and nothing to gain.

How did JBS fare against the team from GA?
JBS got beat by 3 in this one. They led at the end of each quarter by 6 and Bermar took the lead in the last minute. JBS had free throws to take the lead with 12 seconds but missed the front end of the bonus. JBS had to foul to get the ball back and Whiterspoon made both free throws. Jbs had a last second shot that missed to tie. Was a very good game and Witherspoon is something to watch. He has narrowed his college choices to Duke and North Carolina among others.
