i agree with the point spread...but unless sum1 helps out tremendously...akers will be held in check...b/c i think i rmbr. akers hitting 7 or 8 3's against them last yr...so i dont see him doin ne thing that good against the eagles

The eagles will soar by at least 18+. I don't think there inside game can be stopped, the raiders are a young team.

I'm curious how you've seen Johnson Central play this year, this will be their first game. They only had one scrimmage to my knowledge and took one on the chin from Corbin.

I have seen JCHS play, as well as all the other schools in this region a lot more than most of u have, maybe it was just a scrimmage, but I have no reason to lie about watching them play...lol....I don't make stuff up and tell it unlike others on this site.....and as for THE TRUTH, the reason I am so protective over the NEWMAN kid has nothing to with the fact that i know him or that i am related to him...honestly I don't even know him all that well.......but i do know the facts about his situation a lot more than anyone else knows...(trust me)......i have seen a lot of players that deserve to play get knocked out of it due to foolish rumors and childish adults........and those who don't deserve to play get to to...its HIGH SCHOOL basketball....its not college nor the NBA...he's a kid....a good kid from what I hear & from what i've seen....he DESERVES TO PLAY just as much as anyone in this region..its not like he stop going to school just cause he didn't want to go...these accusations are totally false and u folks don't even know half the truth behind any of this..........if YOUR school has a good ball team then they will beat BLHS with or without NEWMAN, and ONE more thing HOME BOUND ISN"T THE SAME AS FAILNG.....lol....lol...lol....u have no idea what in the world u are talking about....lol.....please research more before u post comments or START RUMORS....thank u and have a blessed day:) (oh yeah... who's that big man in THIS region that can stop him.....not seen it yet...lol) THANKS!!!

Give it time, my friend. There is a sleeper in the JC lockerroom. He had a few googd games last year, but nothing spectacular. If he plays to his full potential, few people will stand in his way.

JC's best big man last year was Ian Welch. He has a nice touch on his inside shots and his leaping ability helps pull down the boards. If they would've gone to the inside a little more to him, maybe some of those 5-10 point losses from last year would've been wins. Just my opinion.

Agreed, Welch was a good inside player for the Eagles...they need to utilize him more in their offense.

i believe that Mike Conley could step up this season. Ian is good, but he's still recovering from an ankle injury, so...

Conley is becoming a very good athlete. (In more than one sport) Are there any other football players that have come out this season? Those fellows have to be good athletes, I always thought that some might come out since Welch has been very successful in the paint and around the basket.
