was there ever a definitive conclusion to the Bud Mackey saga?

They're not goin to be a top 5 or even 10 team without him this year. I sure hope he gets a second chance and is allowed to play.

I don't. He should've left his blow at the house and not had it at school, but he shouldn't have had it anyways. Can't go through life rewarding people that commit felonies because they are young and athletic.

Scott County isn't that good. I mean they are a above average team but not #1 in the state.

It's ashame that Mackey not only did this to himself, but to his teammates who count on him.

He was arrested and charge with cocaine possession and trafficking drugs about a month or two ago.

He's not been convicted of anything. In fact, 1 of the 2 charges has been dropped already.

And if he wasn't athletic, I'd still be saying the same thing.

His welfare is my concern, not the team itself. And basketball is a great way to keep kids out of trouble... Punishment shouldn't negatively affect someones life. Punishment is about discipline and lessons learned. Its supposed to make us better people. Not disenfranchise individuals who make a singular mistake that could easily be chalked up to a random incident of bad judgement. His defense is that it wasn't his. Lets see how it plays out before judge him. I've done worse things that he's done, knowing him personally.... and I've became a productive member of society. He will too. ;)

Anyways, good game ballard and scott county.
