I look for Hazard to be very tough this year. If they just got their football players out it may take them 3 to 4 weeks to catch their stride.

I agree, once Hazard's boys get back into the flow, they'll be tough and the game was played at Hazard.

I think kcc was the better team tonight, and should of took the win...But the refs was on HHS's side and im sure kcc will get them later on in the season...

I think kcc was the better team tonight and should of won the game..they played hard but i think the refs had alot to do with hazards win..but im sure they play again later on in the season and it will be a good one..

The Hazard Bulldogs kicked off their basketball season with all their players at Memorial Gym tonight. The Dawgs defeated Knott Co. 54-51. This was a great game. It was a close, hard-fought game right down to the last second. This game was more like a championship game than a beginning season game. There was a good crowd on hand and a lot of spirit. Congrats to both teams!!

I didn't think there was any game to it because of the refs. And I'm not the only one who noticed that they called the game for Hazard. One guy who is from Hazard even said he thought the refs wanted Hazard to win, and that he didn't like to see his team with a win like that because it was given to them and not earned. So if that tells you anything about the game. Hazard had 3 goal tends and only called one, they let them call time out without poss of the ball, and they committed foul after foul and got away with it. I think if this game had of been played with refs who didn't have any ties to Hazard, KCC would have won the game.

Will somebody tell me why the collins, bartrum and mosley kid doesnt get to play as much as they should???????? bartrum and mosley are two great shooters..probably the best kcc has..and if i aint mistakin mosley had a 3 as soon as he got in the game and got tooken out in like 2 minutes after he got in...and 6 three's in the jv game...and bartrum didnt get to see no minutes..y? and collins is one of the best defenders on kcc..why not play them????

KCC should have won this game. They made their fair share of mistakes but, the refs did contribute to this one as well.

I did not think Hazard would come out with the W in this one. KCC has been practicing for a long time now and Hazard just got their real boys back from the football field. This is a very good sign for Hazard.

practice? were talkin bout practice? lol j/k. seriously tho bartrum is a very talented young man, and in pick up ball hes one of the best players ive ever seen. But against a physical team like Hazard hes almost too weak to play, when he puts on some weight tho look out. I like mosley's game but he and Collins appear somewhat lazy to me sometimes, but they're also very talented and will help the team eventually. We got to remember that this is Amburgey's 2nd year as KCC's head coach and he is still learnin.

Hazard doesn't have ties, but Al Holland does. Same stuff went on at PCC. If you're not 10-15 pts better than his teams than you won't beat 'em at their place.

I think the only reason Mosley,Bartrum or Collins didn't get is was because, although they can shoot and handle the ball well, they are not very defensive. Bartrum just wants to shoot, Mosley too but he will rebound and Collins don't see much action under the goal. But I do agree that Mosley burnt it up in the J.V game and he mad a 3 pt basket in the V game. Coach Amburgey should try gettin that last second shot to someone other than Stamper. It's not working. Try something else for a change because everyone knows that Stamper is gonna take the last shot. I think they should take the ball in more to Caudill and Amburgey, they may of made the basket and drawed the foul, and both of these boys are pretty good at free throws. I just think he needs to try a couple of other things every now and then and stop depending on Stamper to do it all. Thats one kid who already is under alot of pressure.

Refs Refs Refs. Thats all i hear. We will see how they do later on in the season against Hazard. You blame it on the refs you will never win a close game. It wasn't a good called game all night on both sides. Just get tired of hearing people blame it on the refs. If Hazard would have lost then people would be blaming the refs for there loss. The better team wins.

There were questionable calls on both sides...but probably more questionable calls against kcc then for but free throws once again hurt them. but congrats both teams

Yes honey, I was there, dont miss a game. And I agree the ref's made bad calls but both ways. You know these 14th region refs
