My gosh..14th Region Power BABY!! 46 point loss to a Top 5 team in the 15th is unbelievable because Pikeville has a very solid team this year!

I figured Pikeville would get beat by 15-20 but I never expected this. Everything must have fell apart and fast for Pikeville tonight.

Nice, maybe a preview of when Pikeville plays Valley?
JBS shot the ball well tonight well over 50%. I knew the game wouldnt be close but I didnt think it would a 40 pt game. Big Congrats Crusaders!
good luck in the championship game.

Pikeville played poorly, but JBS is just a far superior team to Pikeville...

JBS played a nearly flawless game. I think they shot closer to 70-75% from the field. They just beat Pikeville fair and square. Refs were not a factor in the game tonight. They let them play and there was very few calls made the first half, maybe 30 total for the game and they was pretty close to even. Congrats to JBS on the win.

I just got back from the Classic. Our Crusaders rolled tonight. Tate played a nearly flawless game as always. He and Clark were the players of the game. Garrison played well also...heck everybody played well. Clark actually looked like a point tonight. He had tons of assists. Tate had close to 10 steals in the 3rd.And Brent Hall is an absolute work horse. Clint was lighting it up too. Congrats JBS! Good luck tomorrow night.

As I had predicted that JBS would use their height advantage and speed to beat the full court presssure that Pikeville tried to play. Then in a half court set JBS passed the ball well and most of their shots can in the flow of their offense. JBS's defense and having a great night shooting was to much for Pikeville. The big player inside { Adams} for Pikeville played well the first quarter of the game and showed that at times that he can play. Looking forward to the Hazard and JBS matchup tomorrow night. JBS by 5 in a close one.

wow....Jbs looked awsome tonight. The guards couldn't miss...the big guys battled down low. Nice dunk by Garrison tonight. Brent also had a nice game.

IMO, JBS could have beat any team in the mountains tonight!!! They where on fire! One of the most impressive displays I've seen in some time. They absolutely thrashed Pikeville in every way. Tate Cox was unreal! Clark Stepp is one of the best high school players you will ever see in the open floor. Clint Stepp gives them yet another outside threat and The two big kids underneath both rebound well. When JBS plays this good they are unbeatable in the mountains. Just my opinion!

Not likely, and please keep any talk about Shelby Valley or any other teams other than JBS or Pikeville out of this thread.

Ouch. I thought that Pikeville did not match up well with them but wow. Wonder if this says how strong JBS is or how weak Pikeville is.
Great game by JBS. They could not miss and Pikeville's shots just would not fall, like there was a lid on the basket, kept rolling off the rim instead of in. Pikeville didn't handle the ball that well, not because of the defense just one of those nights. ALL teams have great nights and ALL teams have bad nights. Plain and simple JBS had a great night and Pikeville had a bad night coupled with the fact JBS is just a better team and very will coached, explains the score. IMO if Pikeville had a great night and JBS had a bad night, JBS would have won, but not by that margin. Good Luck to both teams Saturday night.

With 3:30 left in the 4th quarter. Keep your heads up Pkeville
JBS played good team ball tonight and when they do that it is going to be hard for anyone to beat them...

They were 41 points ahead and the crowd was yelling to the coach he had no class. That is when they were pulled.........

Anyone that knows the Stepps understood that was not why the starters were pulled at that suggested time. The fans are not an influence on them in their method of coaching world. JBS was able to let some players get some exposure on TV . Some of the earlier substitutions of Brent Hall and Seth Hall were a big part in this good win for JBS. IMO............

What a Joke.
What a Joke.
There was 3 starters in the game at that point. Pikeville still had most of their starters in the game at the same time. I agree that rest of the starters should have pulled earlier but this is the whole story.

WOW. Pikeville took a beating in the worst way!
When Pikeville wins their average margin of victory is 14 points.
When Pikeville loses their average margin of defeat is 28.3 points.
That's not very good.
JBS is one of the finest mountain teams I have seen play in a while.

It is not like Pikeville is helpless or something. They are the 3rd ranked team in the 15th...

Well I'm glad you enjoyed it EOE! I understand that you probably hate Pikeville and that's fine, most people from the surronding area do, but, one thing---these are kids, they can't help that they happen to live in the CITY, as you all call it and these kids tried hard against a really good team that happen to have a superior night. You know what? IMO, YOU NEED A GOOD SPANKING for making such a comment and , no, I would not enjoy it. I do not fine enjoyment in others misforutne.

I thought that JBS did sub quite a bit during the game. However, leaving most of your starters in until 3.30 left in a game that you're ahead of by 40+ , will end up costing you somewhere down the road. Any kid could tear an ACL, sprain an ankle, or get some other sensless injury.
But, maybe the JBS coach had something he wanted to work on. I don't know. It is up to the opposing team to stop you after all.

I will have to say that is a possibility on the t exposure. But what about all the other games that are not on tv and they win by the same margin with starters playing the same amount of time? Back 20-25 years ago, I would guarantee that the starters would have been pulled much earlier. Regardless if it was on tv, or the coaches nephews or whatever. Back then, if a coach tried to run the score up like that, the losing team would start giving very hard fouls until they came out one way or another. Trust me, I know, I been there on both ends of it. But it seems like back then, coaches had more respect for each other and didnt try to do that.

In response to BBF's quote, the other mentioned games are all about individual stats. My reply was that I wish some of the JBS bench players would have got more TV exposure. IMO they surely deserve it............

This is one of the reasons that some dont like JBS....Jim leaves some of his starters in(no names mentioned) no matter what the score and that is just the truth. The thing that is JBS is sometimes given a bad name to help the averages of some of their players. Hopefully no one will get hurt trying to get more points....

I dont know what the big deal is about leaving their starters in. Thats their decision. That is my favorite games to watch. I love to watch a good beat down every now and then. Pikeville should have played better i guess. If they dont like it tell them to get in the gym and get better.
I will also say that JBS's bench was scoring quite a bit at the end of the game.....
