I really don't see what's so funny.... In a way, you are downing piarist. I know you put "no disrespect to piarist" but I know if I played for them, and saw your post, It wouldn't make me feel to good.

Well I guess let them take it as they may...I put no disrespect because I mean that...SF is way better than 7pts. against Piarist...If I was a player from SF I would take that to heart as well...I didn't think it was funny because of the game, i thought it was funny because someone pred. a 7pt. game...and you would see that if you read my post entirely..

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Piarist beat South Floyd....But it's not going to happen. It could happen but Sf just will over power Piarist.

Dont get me wrong, Id love to see Piarist beat South Floyd....But its not going to happen. It could happen but Sf just well over power Piarist.
SF will not lose 2 Piarist...It would take SF's top 10 players fouling out before the end of the 3rd and Piarist shooting over 60% to boot...SF played 20 players in and out at the AC panorama earlier in the year and won by 45 or so...

IMO, SF will get their first win of the year with a victory over Pirarist. However, I think this will be reasonably close game. If the raiders take Piarist to lightly they could find themselves in a ballgame. Either way the winner gets Paintsville so their tournament will be short lived.

SF will get their first win, but there is no way it will be reasonably close...SF beat them by 46 in the AC panorama playing 20 players...and yes SF still hasnt won a game but they are getting better, little by little. I know it really dont matter if they win by 5 or 100, they win lose the next game. But, as far as some people saying it will be a close game and what not:)...SF knows there gonna win this game, but i promise you they wont take Piarist lightly. The reason being that there 0-14 or 0-15 and no real reason to look over anyone...SF by 40+

Your probably right about the game being a blowout & SF has seemed to play better at times of late, but I still think this game has a slim chance of being close. Just my opinion!

Don't know why you would throw an insult at "globetrotter"? Why is it so hard to believe this could be his acutal opinion? He's not the only one who feels this game could be close. You may not like it, but I believe he's entitled to post his opinion!
IMO, SF will probably win by 20 or so, but a lot of people feel the game could be close & that's no reason to throw insults at them. SF is 0-15 and has barely come within 20 pt's of anyone. I don't know why they would be considered an overwhelming favorite in this game & its crazy for anyone to think it could be close, or they could lose
South Floyd should win this one by 20+...

You gotta be kidding me...SF beat piarist by about 50 in a panoroma...If your talking about the tall kid#1...yeah he may score 20, but somebody has got to, he'll shoot his 20+ shots...

Well like i said someone has to score...He'll shoot his 20+ shots..Yes he will control the game, but controlling a 30+pt. loss is not to good:Thumbs:
SF by at least 35 in this one...Hoskins has to play the whole game because they only have 5 or 6 players...Hoskins on another team(we would never hear is name unless it was from you:D..

If he would have went to Magoffin were he is from u would be hearing it alot too..simply because if he was on a better team who could bring the ball up the court instead of him bringing it and him 6'4 or taller is not very helpful..

Hearing it alot to?...Your the only one thats talking about him/yourself...If he/you was at Magoffin then you would be just a role player..Maybe thats the reason he/you came to piarist..

Doesn't piarist have a win and sf don't. Give the edge in this one to the KNIGHTS, in this monumental match-up between these two 15 regional powerhouses. LOLOLOL just kidding.

uhavnoidea--sounds like I hear a little jealousy instead of comments. This team does not have the advantage of playing with 20-25 players and 4 to 5 coaches. I did see this Hoskins boy play Pike Central, with 34 points, he is a good player. Those comments from KentuckyCat07 are not from Caleb Hoskins, I know who it is. Good luck to both Piarist and SF.

Everyone has down years, so you are not funny in any way...I see that your from Inez...So what has Sheldon Clark done in the last 7yrs. or so?...Nothing, so you dont need to say this about the SF program..

Jealousy:) ...FAR FROM IT!..Hoskins is the only one that shoots the ball for Piarist...The coach cant say much to him...whats he gonna do sit him on the bench and play 4 players:) ...No one even heard the name until KentuckyCats07 got on here and started ranting about him...Not knocking the kid, but he is a decent player at best. Im sure he probably did have 34pts.(probably 25+ shots to do so) against Pike Cent., what did the team end up with 45 or so:D ..I watched him play against SF in the panorama earlier in the year...He air-balled 3 or 4 shots...He shot it every 2 or 3 times up the court...Yes, he probably had 20(along with shooting 25+shots) that game, but SF did play all 20 players that was on the bench......Having 20 players or 4-5 coaches doesn't mean anything...We are talking about one individual player that is being hyped up on a team that has won maybe 10 games or so in the past 7yrs...So until he holds his own against the first 7 or 8 players on any team in the 15th, instead of doing it all against the end of the bench, nothing needs to be overly exaggerated...

Do the math... If he did take 25+ shots and got 34 points that's still around 60% from the field. That's not bad for anyone. I don't know why you're making a big deal about it. You saw this kid play one game...you said yourself we all have down times. It's not fair for you to dog him when you obviously don't know much about him...or for that matter dog KYcats fan 07 for writing about him. These young men all play hard-pity you have to make such bad comments when someone is trying to be positive. Hoskins has just as much right as any other player to be mentioned on here. That's how these kids become bad sports. Don't assume how he'd play on a larger team--becauseuhavenoidea. :D

Sounds like Piarist's Principal is not very supportive of the basketball team. Should be proud to have so much determination from such a small team. Wouldn't want my child to go there.

01-24-2008, 02:56 PM
I consider the hoskins kid and the akers kid from sf in the same boat. Both on not so great teams and both have to shoot a lot to try and keep there teams in a game. So what is the difference? Both are no more than average on a good team.
