He was an oscar nominee for his role in Brokeback Mountain. He was in movies such as A Knights Tale, The Patriot, and Monsters Ball. He was supposed to be in Dark Knight as mentioned to portray the Joker.

Man, I always thought he was a pretty good actor. I was just watching one of his first movies the other night "10 Things I Hate About You" and was thinking how funny he was in it.
Hard to be surprised though seeing as how it has happened so many before him.
However, he will probably be remembered years down the road as one the more tragic Hollywood Deaths (example: Chris Farely)

I fell in love with him in "The Patriot." It's just so tragic....he was such a great actor. Just goes to show the price people pay through an addiction. RIP.

He was definately one of my favorite actors. He was so cute.
I was reading somewhere that he had pneumonia over the past couple days. Also, he had been having ALOT of trouble sleeping. The pills they found were prescription and OTC sleeping pills. Someone (a NYPD, ME, or someone), said that taken together can cause an accidental overdose.
It's so sad. He was a great actor. His poor daughter will never really know him. So tragic.

He was one of my favorite actors. Loved every movie he ever played in except "Broke Back Mountain". Never watched it and never will. Just afraid it would change my perspective of him if I do. Will miss seeing him in the future. RIP Heath!

With things like this, and craziness of Britney Spears, it kinda makes me happy that i'm just a regular joe.

Sad news! Even more so since it appears to be accidental! Just shows that everyone needs to enjoy life and be careful!
